For context, it was the scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the Frenchman yells at them from the walls that his mother was a hamster and his father smelled of elderberries.
This was a funny review. My only gripe was when he showed the scene with the Prince dancing with the Black swan. He made a joke that the film stole the scene from the little mermaid but it’s actually from the original Swan lake ballet where the prince was tricked. Technically, the little mermaid got the idea from Swan Lake ;P
I bet he also thinks _The Simpsons_ stole the "brawl cloud" trope from _The Loud House_ .
The swam princess is very loosely based on the ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the same guy who made the nutcracker and sleeping beauty. Great ballet if you look it up :3
Omg Lorax is next, that’s one of my favourite reviews
“Well the chart says...”
Let me finish it, "Well the chart says, nobody cares!"
Now I’m wondering who was ruling Odette’s kingdom after her dad was killed and she was kidnapped.
At this point there are nine, NINE Swan Princess movies.
I think they're trying to beat The Land Before Time sequels!
That's going to be tough to beat as there's like what 14+ land before time sequels?
@@rossjohnstone4689 14.
@@pennysanchez7656 there catching up
ok, monty python holy grail bit got copyrighted in review, charlie, "I fart in your general direction! your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries! now, go away, or i shall taunt you a second time! *sniff*"
Actually the voice of the turtle in my opinion was a good choice. It's funnier that the voice doesn't match the personality
9:36 A clear sign Doug stopped watching _The Simpsons_ prior to the 2000s, as I learned about St. Sebastian from the episode where Bart goes to Catholic school.
Catching arrows with your hands isn't impossible.
I think Ripley's believe it or not had someone do that blindfolded.
0:41 Doug's screaming face looks like that "Leonardo di Caprio drinking" meme.
well, charlie, it's decent beautiful animation by ex-disney animator and director, Richard Rich.
Fun fact: there wasn’t any sound from the frog talking during 11:35-11:47 of the video
The audio was actually dialogue from the insulting Frenchman from The holy grail movie by Monty Python
My favorite part of the swan princess review is where the nostalgia critic says why doesn’t he just hypnotize her to say yes.🤣😂
3:48 - 3:57 And this part of the actual movie made not withstand the adorable factor.
In defense of the swan princess with the 'little mermaid ripoff' that was a part of the plot of the original swan lake that the movie was adapting.
Oh boy, is nothing sacred anymore. >_
Oh, I forgot he mentioned the sequels, although I am pretty sure there are more now by at least 2

0:10 If it helps, I'm a guy and I grew up with this movie.
This is based on the ballet
Can you please react to the Cinemassacre video "Inspector Gadget MARIO DVD Menu with James & Mike"? It's super hilarious! 😂
Can you react to Atop the Fourth Wall episodes too? They're a series of comic reviews with storylines in between and they're pretty good.
ok, serious question, charlie: what disney movies did ya grew up on? (and i don't mean the disney bootlegs).
3:40, my fave joke.
4:14, this song basically rips off from Beauty & the Beast's opening number. No kidding.
6:57, ODEEEEEEETTE!! We're not Disney!!
7:18, this looks badass for a villain hideout tbh. Srsly Fantasy Island vibes there.
16:40, BB was better than this tbh.
18:56, noooo...FUCK!
Rest In Peace Jack Palance. I always enjoy his performances from Batman (1989), and the City Slickers movies. This movie sucks and i feel sorry for any and all who’ve ever seen this atrocity. Not including me because I’ve never seen it because i was more interested in Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King.
oh you skipped an episode. Top 11 Good Things About the Star Wars Prequels
is funny that the 2nd and 3rd movies are a bit more boring but has nothing to do with love. buuuut the CGI movies are super dumb. like that one movie that they are saying that are main character's love is the most important thing in the world. but if there's no love the world ends. my reaction was this "doesn't even matter if there's love or not. the world's ALWAYS full of darkness. the light is just a cover up on how mess up the world really is." and that was coming from me when I was very young. all cgi movies are super dumb that I didn't bother watching all the newer ones. one was enough. the drawn movies were better even if they're almost as bad as the 1st movie.
Diet Disney, yum!
*drinks it* Try not to drink too much of it.
The Lorax. That remake is terrible
I own this movie. The relationship aspect is pretty much nonsense, although I think the rest of it is legitimately good. I think the film would have been leaps & bounds if they took out the pretty much nonexistent relationship from all these movies, as it only ever just works to get in the way. There are a lot of sequels Charlie 🤑🤑
How would this story play out without any romance?
@@VicenteTorresAliasVits Probably Wouldn't, although I don't feel like that means shoehorn it in. I still want to feel the relationship makes sense. I will probably catch flack for this & have a ton of people say I am Stupid or don't understand how Brilliant it is, but I had the same problem with the Original Beauty & the Beast. I felt the Love Story was just artificially shoved into the story & it just didn't seem real. The Beast Acted Like a Jerk & at No Point did he do Anything Outside of Saving her from the Wolves to Warrant Loving him, & To Me That Alone Wouldn't Be Enough as it Woulf Feel to Me He was Protecting His Own Self Interests
5:35 Eh, not necessarily - some women actually respect men.
I love everything about critic.. the only problem is that some of his videos are just too long
