    Nice Maiden. The Saito sounds great and the graphics are really respectful of our finest. Thanks for posting.

    Hello,I love your Waco,sounds so good with that Saito radial on it!
    I also like your special decals on it,makes the plane look so right,where did you get them?

    Nice flying and great decals! Thanks for sharing. I'm buliding the same plane with an UMS 7-90 motor and the weight is just about the same as Your Saito. How does it balance out? Any mods needed?
    Hope to have Your comments.
    Happy flying!

      I added about 6oz to the tail, balance 1 degree nose down, moved the mains forward about 1/2" Balanced with the included balancer ( no small feat, my plane weighs 32lb 4oz :) except for redoing the aileron pushrods that's all I changed. love how she flies no wild aerobat but scale flights.

      @@TMacDo243 are you installing the UMS 7-90? Have you flown it yet?

    • @TMacDo243
      @TMacDo243 2 роки тому

      @@Timbers25 it's all installed and I've started it up once on the plane so far. Haven't flown yet. It's been either cold or windy lately and no good weather in the foreseeable future unfortunately. Might go out just to taxi it at some point though.

    How did you setup the wing ailerons I noticed you didn't use the parts that came with kit what parts did you use?? I have the same plane would like to get a better more even ailerons control the stock parts don't do that so any help would be appreciated engine sounds great Mine flies with saito 84r an yes landing is a challenge thanks Bob

    • @troyyoung5594
      @troyyoung5594 5 років тому

      Yes landing is a challenge, it doesn't like to slow down. The ailerons are a challenge, I fabricated brackets from some angle aluminum ( moved them as far as I could toward the trailing edge) and pushrods from arrow shafts. This helped, but I still run out of geometry. I run 50% deferential, about 1/2" down and 1" up. she rolls in a scale manor maybe a 1.5 or 2 sec. roll rate, without any adverse yaw.

    • @troyyoung5594
      @troyyoung5594 5 років тому

      @@bobconstantino4873 I used 4-40 ball links and 4-40 all thread JB welded into the arrow shafts. kinda tricky to get the lengths right but its worth the fiddle.

      @@troyyoung5594 thanks Troy just a thought with this airplane you have to come in little fast like war-bird if you try to float it in it drops on landing gear will flip over I have done this already broke the tail just try to get it as low to ground under little power than drop the tail slightly than back off throttle should land on mains no problem

    You can tell it's a Phoenix Model by the heavy amount of aileron trim required to fly level.

    Beautiful plane but I can hear it’s running it’s a tad rich, safe for the engine but your not getting the throttle response low down and full power from it, as I said lovely plane though
