Thank you Dr. Jordan Peterson for this motivational speech. Today is my Birthday. This “Focus on Yourself” is giving me a step by step reflections of my past and step by step potential outcomes of my future yet to come and experience. Knowing thyself to truly follow your clear instructions of how to validate yourself is not an easy task. The first question that came to my mind was “ What have I done to survive?” As a child, as an adolescent, as an adult? How do arrive at what we value? To me is called PEACE. The ups and downs, the yin and yang will always be there, it is the striving to live in the middle path, centeredness, homeostasis and knowing that everything that is happening is temporary and not finite. It is a very daunting task for we will always seek confort, avoid pain and filling the void because it is truly the toughest experience to accept our flaws, our misgivings, our mistakes as part of us. Accepting ourselves the positive and negative aspects of our being is when we stop judging ourself and others. We will then be empathetic and forgive ourselves and others. And to continue to strive to be better humans in the world. Thank you ❤
