I was f2p plyer got 6 character and there was no option to get more characters so i quit and i see you have 10 characters how do u have because it was only possible when u purchase
I consider people who pay for the game as people who spend on honing mats, gold, gems, card xp, anything they buy from the shop. Yes I did buy extra character slots but that's all I did. There was no money put into leveling my characters
How do you feel about the game after 5471 hours played? Do you still enjoy it or is it mostly an addiction at this point? PS : Don't take this the wrong way, I'm genuinely curious since i'm at 750 hours played and i'm starting to doubt how fun this game is with the (mostly toxic) endgame community. I do play solo so I assume that changes the fun factor quite a bit over time.
First, Thank you for you for watching! I'll start by saying this is my First MMO, I've enjoyed it a lot because I have people I've met and also irl people I know continue to play the game. 1. I enjoy the raiding and Spending time learning the raids, playing through some challenging gates and leveling my character to a stronger point. I will say after a 2-3 week period when raids feel like hw, that's when the game becomes stale. The best thing is raiding with people you know who you can troll around with. 2. For Free to Play (like not spending on honing, gold, gems etc), it is extremely hard to keep up with the highest ilevel, hence the reason why I probably grind so much. You need to be diligent if you want to be able to keep up with the latest content. But otherwise, I recommend everyone play at their own pace. - there is no rush 3. That said, I think it is important to find people to raid with and you can bond with. It makes party finder easier and gives you more reason to log on and play with others. Out of my core Static group, I play mostly supports and then at least 1 or 2 other people have supports as well. This way we don't have to spend time in party finder searching for pugs - so I can play when I want and not have to waste time. It makes doing the "hw" raids easier and fast to clear - this is the most boring part. 4. I take a lot of breaks from the game. If I'm not raiding, I like to play other games like call of duty WZ, or halo for example. The game really doesn't allow you to play 1 character and solo through all the content. A decent roster is needed to accumulate honing materials and accrue weekly gold for honing/gems etc. This is probably the reason why I play more than 1 or 2 characters. I would love it if they had other content that I can earn gold in such as dungeons or questing things around the World they've built. There just isn't enough content for just playing 1 single character 5. Conclusion: The game is fun, take your time to progress through. There are communities out there who will help lower roster players with raiding. Raiding is probably the best part of the game. Of course pugs aren't going to be nice all the time and ccan get toxic, but most people are chill I'd say. If you want to minimize toxicity, the best things I'd recommend are to watch the mech vids on youtube, and then in the raid just be transparent to the veterans and I'm sure people are more than willing to help. (if not then those people prob just block and don't raid with them). I also play a lot of the horizontal content because I enjoy that sort of lore stuff and completion which takes a lot of hours but it's not necessary. The game also helps people get their characters up to some of the newest content, which hopefully gives newer players with less time spent to enjoy challenging content once they reach it. Just some of my popcorn style thoughts but I Hope this helps!
@@Tonn142 Wow! Thank you for such a thorough response. I guess having friends that play this game consistently is the puzzle piece i'm missing for raiding to feel fun instead of stressful. I get your point of view and i also play other games but with work and everything else that comes with an adult life, it's tough to keep up in Lost Ark. I don't want the game to feel like a second job, but sometimes it does and that just sucks. I only have time to play 2 characters, they are both 1580 and i'm at the point where I need to learn Akkan to progress but i'm dreading it because I know I will be gatekept since I'm only at 135 roster lvl and LOS 18(Both of my characters are DPS, Shadowhunter DI and Slayer Punisher). Hence the reason the endgame is pretty scary as a solo player. Final thing, based on my own experiences, most people aren't chill in this community XD, the number of times i've been kicked out for making 1 mistake on a 10 min boss is insane. Anyways, maybe i'm just unlucky with public lobbies. Thank you for sharing your POV and I hope you keep enjoying the game as much as it seems you do!
Yeah I wish the boss mechanics weren't "wipe" mechanics sometimes. A lot of mechs now require everyone to alive and having q person die is an instant reset. I wish instead if you fail a mech there was like a rebuff or something applied in stead. That being said, hitting 1580 is great, I'd say definitely in the Lost Ark discord or lfg channels you can party up with people who just have 1 or 2 clears.
As I mentioned to another comment, I consider f2p as players who don't swipe for gold, honing mats, gems, cosmetics, skins, shop stuff etc. Buying character slots doesn't contribute to leveling up a character
