There is little sensation of acceleration with the diesel, but you look down and it's doing 100 mph. With the Cummins without a load it doesn't feel quick, but you get a load on it and get that boost up and it'll do what it was made to do. It's not holding itself back... it doesn't have anything to pull against. You will almost never hear the turbo, but it has a boost gauge you can toggle to in the dash. Like Jose said, it's not a race truck, it's built to work/tow.
I have a 2014 Ram 2500 CCSB Laramie with Cummins. Love it. Rides great, very quiet. I don't want to hear the engine or the turbo. Better throttle response then my previous Duramax. 68RFE takes miles to learn. Not enough miles on that truck for the tranny to complete learning. BTW, RAM is not Dodge. Separate division.
redroofretriever no the dash and everything is really low. I'm 5'8 and I test drove one like this, and I thought the dash was really really low. Coming from and ford guy. I did like the look
That Massive backseat is definitely a top selling point. The Ram isn't as fast as the Chevrolet or Ford but the massive space inside the mega cab is without a doubt the biggest in any truck.
Feels like it's lacking in response from 60-80? It's called a torque converter, that's slipping like f*** on that little wind out, just soaking up all that power which would otherwise go straight to the wheels...
finally a look that I can copy on my 2012 Dodge Cummins dually.. my truck is white, it has those grey cloth seats the interior is charcoal grey of course.. all I got to do is buy the wood trim dash kit and reupholstering my seats to this color brown cattle Longhorn Style.. I'd rather spend an extra $3000 to make it look exactly like the new model then to spend $80,000
It's a Ram. Not Dodge. You want horsepower? Get a 1500 with a Hemi. Get anything with a gas engine. You want stump pulling torque? Buy this. I really don't care much of this review because I have good mileage, spin tires in first and second on an automatic and enough "power" to pull 20,000lbs without breaking a sweat. This channel is not worthy of "Diesel" in the title .
@dide quen no... your Tundra is good if not better. I was about to trade in mine for a 2017 Tundra. After dumping 4g into fixing my Cummins, it would be a bad move.
I will say the newer tow mirrors suck because they stick straight out where as the 3rd Gen's at least have curvature to them. They def help me see better on the highway and prevent less blind spots, now if Dodge could just leave them up and allow them to telescope out instead of flipping down. If you don't like the tow mirrors don't drive a Dodge, plain and simple! The review wasn't bad till his smart a$$ comment at the end!
It's a Cummins!! made for hauling weight Not drag racing smh granted I'm not a fan of automatics specially that Allison. They also put them in semis there junk
its a in line 6 cylinder cummins engine high torque....is not a gas or v8 diesel the acceleration is different....its made for pulling not for racing
Exactly!
Youre so right! Thats what the others dont unterstand.
Yep 👏🏽

Damn a truck like that really should be a standard shift.
Impressive interior I wish I had one
What! That fancy truck doesn't have the power tow mirror option?
Was driver on a booster seat? Seems to be trying to sit tall, but not so much.

they call it a bench
It’s much smaller then the ford in the back especially with the stupid trans hump in the floor
Distance door to door rear seat .?

Can you explain a little more? The vehicle has a torque converter that is preventing the power from going to the wheels?
This is one of the worst reviews I've ever seen. I've leaned nothing about the truck.
Preligen Manaois haha I agree!! Pointing out things in the truck that were standard 10 years ago!!
I learn the side mirror fold up….lma

this or the new l5p gm truck?

Where I come from, it’s a Dodge AND and a Ram
Delete it..you'll feel the torque
So the dodge doesn’t feel like the shit box chevy ??? 😂
If I know a bit about truck I would want to buy this truck, did buy a tundra instead, I hate it
@dide quen no... your Tundra is good if not better. I was about to trade in mine for a 2017 Tundra. After dumping 4g into fixing my Cummins, it would be a bad move.
I woke up in a new Dodge ram.
Lost me at the power statement. Bye
Everyone bitching about the price haha in Australia you pay $180k just for the 1500
Hard to stop saying “Dodge” right? 🤭
New trucks are so governed and reserved it sucks
800 ft/lbs of torque isn't enough for you out of a stock truck?
A video on how you NOT sell a truck. Wtf kind of "review" was this?
I'd rather have a 3500 mega cab, because I'm very tall and anything else (besides a Mustang) is too small
Get a manual then

wah fuckin wah
Shut yo ugly ass up
How in the hell did you not know if it was a 3/4 ton or one ton? It says it right there on the side of the truck.
It's a Cummins!! made for hauling weight Not drag racing smh granted I'm not a fan of automatics specially that Allison. They also put them in semis there junk
I hate any truck or car that its cup holders comes behind each others ... I love them besides
Jabronis
Expensive, gasler, plus breaks a lot. Buy toyota & you will be better off than average american.
Fiat fiat =(
