I believe is good in some types of vidz, like this one, for example. And, btw, I almolst ever pass on the beta flight config. Apologies for the long comment but, in my language there is an intrinsic lenght that mirrors when I write in English, maybe. Anyway, ciao Andy, and Ciao to everybody here!!
AndyRC hey Andy can I use these small 0703 0705 0706 type motors on a brushed geared quadcopter like the syma x5c or say my toy propel graviton ,most of the toy drones as you know have 8520 brushed motors and are powered by 1s , is it possible to connect these motors to the FC board on the toy drones ? , without any ESCs or anything crazy , just a simple motor swap from 8520 brushed to 0705 brushless ? , I mean they both uses 1s lipo , I just want to know before I buy some because I plan to do a build I think it would be interesting, I already get 12 minute flight times with my 8520 1s motors that have the gear reduction system and ball bearings it’s just a toy drone that I use to smash all round my neighborhood without worrying about it being a weapon falling out of the sky if I crash cause it’s not nearly as fast as the race drones and its only around 100 grams if I have it totally lightened up, originally its 140 grams fully loaded and flight times were only 7 minutes I enjoy these brushed geared quadcopters because I like the idea of gear reduction so I can use bigger props that are actually 6 it more inches unlike the small micro 55mm-75mm type props , idk I think it would be cool to build a toy brushless geared quadcopter ,please let me know if it might work thanks
Andy, is this build your recommended brushless whoop build at this point in time? For example, would you recommend it over the Aurora and other options popping up around the place? I know you had some issues with the Aurora but I would imagine doing a custom build might mitigate some of those.
Nice build! We have a foot of snow outside, so if I dumped a micro FPV in the snow, I wouldn't find it until the Spring thaw. I'm wondering if you have a massive storage area for all these quads you've built and/or reviewed? I don't think I have much more room .. perhaps just enough for a Mavic when Spring eventually comes. Cheers.
That was awesome, Andy. I can't wait to get mine going. just got the frame today and it is tiny! also opted for the tpu bumper and it is ideal. Super high quality.
I found I was getting voltage bleed or what ever you call it into the video. I was looking installing a bec but noticed that this fc has one built in. The vtx + and ground have their own pads on the fc. Thanks for the build guide again this little beast rips with 3s!
Hello Andy! Great video, as always! I have one of these cheap 4 channel dsm2 transmitters called mlp4dsm. I think they also come with the blade Inductrix rtf. Do think I can bind them to a qx95 or a qx90c?
Very nice little build Andy,I'm looking to progress from the brushed indoor flyers ,to something like this,I'm new to to brushless stuff , Do you fly all brushless stuff with air mode enabled ? For doing acro
Would you recommend as a tint whoop replacement? I'm not so much interested in outdoors. I want to be able to have a low key, small, "quiet", harmless kwad I can fly indoors. Or places like my university, home etc. I wanna be able to fly around people (not crash into them as I would with the whoop but still). I don't wanna damage my walls etc. Worried this might be too hefty to fully replace my whoop. My whoop weighs 25g this is pretty much 4x that... even if I remove buzzer and try to keep it light. Won't be under 90g... how much do the prop guards weigh? Anyway what do you think Andy? Great video by the way. Highly considering this. Also, is this 2s or 3s?
You can check rcgroups thread to see what people say and how they use it: www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2809844-FlexRC-Pico-X-Pocket-FPV-Racing-Drone/
Great build, BUT... sad to say FlexRC won't sell the frames separately, and is out of stock for the parts of all kits. Disappointing, because this combo seems like just what I'm looking for to upgrade from my Diatone whoop which eats motors as do all brushed whoops, and I'm tired of freshening it every couple of weeks. I was hoping a couple of this sort of things for this winter. I may cut my own frames if I can't find something like this.
Hi Andy, I'm building my Pico X right now, and was wondering why on the mini owl you used a 5v regulator but on the Pico X you didnt. I want to run 3s and don't want to fry the board. Do I need a 5v reg on my Pico core? I got the one that comes assembled. Thanks!
In the video you say that the ESC's are 20Amp. On the Flex page they state it is 10A: BusyBee2 - Tiny 10A 4 in 1 BLHELI_S ESC with 20×20 mounting holes. Do you have a different version?
i would love to see a fusion of this tiny whoop with the components of the falcon 120. so that this little beast will become a MONSTER. i hope you will do a build video about that in the nearby future. i love you video Andy. cheers. micro's are the future ;)
Nice build and fly. Seems like you have it dialed in well. Nice and smooth flight. I was thinking of just brushed on micros and brushless on a 130mm size. However, this build has me thinking:-)
Hi, maybe you can help me. I built up a DIY kit very similar to yours. After some playing I was able to get the receiver I connected to bind to my DX6. However in the config page of betaflight it is not keeping the receiver setting and when in the receiver tab even though it looks like the receiver is bound (according to a solid light on the receiver) I see no inputs.
Indeed! I had a couple more issues, the wires from the 4 in 1 esc for motors 1 and 3 were reversed in the diy kit, but I worked through that and it was a easy 15 min tear down and solder job. One more question, for these micro builds with AIO camera vtx do you have any tricks for reducing noise in the video feed? I think its voltage based as its only when I spin up the motors but I get a sort of angled shimmer across the image after I take off. Its not severe and I have yet to record any dvr footage because this beast with a 3s does not like my small apartment :P
i have got a question, i want to build a drone and i got some parts together and i want to make it, it is fpv and all from banggood, my question is: do you think this is a really good drone and what are the pros and cons. imma list the components down here. Hello. Can you make a review series for the new 4 in 1 modules : 2.4G CC2500 A7105 Flysky Frsky Devo DSM2 Multiprotocol TX Module With Antenna or CC2500 NRF24L01 A7105 CYRF693 4 In 1 TX Module With Case For Futaba JR Frsky X9D X12S Transmitter. Found in banggood. can you review set up, range, delay on taranis, Flysky FS-i6X and it would be awesome if you could review it on Turnigy 9XR PRO ( I know you don't have this one but is worth it IMHO, just sell it after ;) ) since is a cheap 28 ch, voice alerts transmitter and many more spec. And compare the performance of this transmitters with the module.
But you have a Taranis, you can do that one. after seeing Bruce videos of the Turnigy I would say maybe is not worth it. I also saw a video of this with taranis, devo 10 and turnigy and the guy said that between the tree the best one is definitely taranis and if you ar short on money the turnigy would do the job. so he ruled out devo 10 between those.
i cant say i like the form factor of the turnigy evo but im not a gamer so i prefer a good old fashioned transmitter shape. i would still like to try one to confirm that though
Yea but I never mentioned that one I mentioned Turnigy 9XR PRO LOL, the important part is the 4 in 1 protocol module that now is not exclusive for devo and deviation my dear friend ;)
I make that $208 (US?); that seems a lot of money for a micro Andy; although it seems a bit cheaper for the whole kit. And over £300 for an Owl, whoa! You can buy a very sophisticated 220 for that. Still, for the man who has everything hey!
I have to say I've been a little disappointed by FlexRC. For a DIY "kit" there are a lot of bits that weren't included. They didn't send me a tracking number for the batteries, which were shipped separately, and then when they did arrive they had only shipped half of what I ordered. So far they've been pretty responsive, and the kit looks nice, but for the price of the kit they could have tossed in some standoffs and maybe some wire to solder the receiver onto the board.

Is there any way to ad anruncam split mini to record 1080 hd video
This hobby is pure win. Dreaming planning shopping building configuring flying crashing rebuilding all fun.
Thanks for making these videos!
yes keeps me very entertained cheers Michael
How does this compare to the new Eachine tiny brushless offerings?
Dang, I just got my first Tiny Whoop built and now I want to build a brushless one now. This thing is super sick
Another great video. Your step by step shows all we need to know.
Keep it up Andy!
thanks for watching cheers
Great video Andy! Had me hooked from start to finish and superb flights at the end! Nice job all round mate! 👍👍😉😉
thanks very much for watching cheers
hi andy was wondering if you could do a review of the furious fpv moskito 70?
Hello Andy
Just wondering...why dont u use a 3pos switch on taranis for arm and beeper?
0-disarm
1-arm
2-beeper
because i like to have angle and horizon as options if theres something wrong with the initial tune
Loving my Pico Owl V2 so far! Thanks for the great vid!
thanks for watching cheers
Andy, is this build your recommended brushless whoop build at this point in time? For example, would you recommend it over the Aurora and other options popping up around the place? I know you had some issues with the Aurora but I would imagine doing a custom build might mitigate some of those.
i would yes the flexible ducts is what wins it for me
Good job Andy, I starting to love that quad
yes its a nice one thank you
Nice build! We have a foot of snow outside, so if I dumped a micro FPV in the snow, I wouldn't find it until the Spring thaw. I'm wondering if you have a massive storage area for all these quads you've built and/or reviewed? I don't think I have much more room .. perhaps just enough for a Mavic when Spring eventually comes. quads dont take up much space i find but they are starting to take up room
what battery you use?
That was awesome, Andy. I can't wait to get mine going. just got the frame today and it is tiny! also opted for the tpu bumper and it is ideal. Super high quality.
i agree enjoy cheers
Thanks for the response. I really liked seeing you fly it LOS. It really looks as quick as a 4 or 5" quad. But much more quiet.
yes really like how quiet this one is
I found I was getting voltage bleed or what ever you call it into the video. I was looking installing a bec but noticed that this fc has one built in. The vtx + and ground have their own pads on the fc.
Thanks for the build guide again this little beast rips with 3s!
no problem hope u get it sorted cheers
Not sure how I wasn't, but now I am now for sure , Subscribed!
I think I'll build this 3s model to add to my growing collection. Thx again Andy
thanks very much. cheers
Hello Andy! Great video, as always!
I have one of these cheap 4 channel dsm2 transmitters called mlp4dsm. I think they also come with the blade Inductrix rtf. Do think I can bind them to a qx95 or a qx90c?
yes u can cheers
Very nice little build Andy,I'm looking to progress from the brushed indoor flyers ,to something like this,I'm new to to brushless stuff , Do you fly all brushless stuff with air mode enabled ? For doing acro
only the smaller models i enable air mode as they dont like to decent as quick
Andyrc are the 2s 500mAh to big for this built?
I love these shop to flight videos for some reason, even when I have no intention of building them. This one I may though, or something similar.
thanks for watching cheers
Love the build video's, great stuff Andy... Getting itchy fingers now, want to do a build !!!
yes i have to say im liking building when it rains all the time cheers
I love mini-micro quads and Andy have lot of them! 😊 It means, that I subscribe! ☺

Another excellent video Andy, I shall be building one of these. The performance is amazing !
Oh, and I forgot to ask. Have you crashed it yet ? :-)
actually not crashed it much! and thats after putting it through the whoop course theres not much it cant recover from
What battery are you runnin' on this?
How do you know what motor goes where
Very good this one Andy !!!
(At today is even your fave brushless whoop??)
Thank you & Ciao!
Couldn't quite tell in the video. How does the size compare to the tiny whoop?
its a fair amount bigger than a tiny whoop
Do they sell out of the country?
Why did you connect the VTX to those pads on the Piko board versus using the dedicated VTX pads?
let me answer your question with another one.... why not? ;)
Hi Andy, I'm building my Pico X right now, and was wondering why on the mini owl you used a 5v regulator but on the Pico X you didnt. I want to run 3s and don't want to fry the board. Do I need a 5v reg on my Pico core? I got the one that comes assembled.
Thanks!
the pico core has its own reg built in cheers
suggestion - you can put both beeper and arm on the same 3-pos switch. center being neutral/off position and beeper and arm on the extremes.
Hi Andy, How is the frame strength on these? Have you done any crash testing :o)
plenty its rock solid cheers
Do the 10k motors get installed in the same way Andy?
yes totally cheers
AndyRC And am I pushing it using a 3s? lol
we love your vids andy keep up the great work we are trying to catch up with your flying skills and find your build vids excellent thanks
thanks very much :)
DIY
always heheh :)
Thanks again, Andy. Where is FlexRC shipping from? I like their stuff but want to know from where it will ship. Keep up the great reviews and builds.
ships from canada gets here really fast for me usually 3 days
I'm in the process of an 85mm brush less similar to this. Now I'm even more excited to to get it in the air!
great hope it gores well!
hey andy, looking at one of these... which is your preference.. the pico owl or the pico X ?
pico x then buy the ducts :)
In the video you say that the ESC's are 20Amp. On the Flex page they state it is 10A: BusyBee2 - Tiny 10A 4 in 1 BLHELI_S ESC with 20×20 mounting holes. Do you have a different version?
I think that it was a mistake, ESC is 10A with 15A peak. These motors will never reach 10Amps anyway :)
Thank you for your reply
i got it wrong sorry :(
andy what soldering iron do you use and how long did you wait for your items from flexrc?
thanks
i use the hakko fx888D thx
AndyRC ouch! pricey lol
i would love to see a fusion of this tiny whoop with the components of the falcon 120. so that this little beast will become a MONSTER. i hope you will do a build video about that in the nearby future. i love you video Andy. cheers. micro's are the future ;)
yes i think these on 4s could be in the pipe line cheers
ow nice. that would be awesome and tnx for your reply.cheers
Nice build and fly. Seems like you have it dialed in well. Nice and smooth flight. I was thinking of just brushed on micros and brushless on a 130mm size. However, this build has me thinking:-)
the 130 size is nice theres a build of the gb130 on the channel thats one of my faves
Yes, that build and flight video is what had me leaning towards a 130mm:-) Thanks
Love your videos AndyRc!
Would be nice if you could get those ducts to light up : )I have to get one of these brushless tiny whoops!
yes good point! bet they would light up nice cheers
I am so excited to get one of these FLEX RC micros! Love the colour as well. ;) Great build video!
its really nice thanks for checking it out
Hi, maybe you can help me. I built up a DIY kit very similar to yours. After some playing I was able to get the receiver I connected to bind to my DX6. However in the config page of betaflight it is not keeping the receiver setting and when in the receiver tab even though it looks like the receiver is bound (according to a solid light on the receiver) I see no inputs.
worked it out, needed to just have just serial RX selected on uart 3, before I had that and configuration. Makes a lot of sense now :P
the smallest of things can completely ground you. glad you sorted it out
Its not severe and I have yet to record any dvr footage because this beast with a 3s does not like my small apartment :P
awesome vid andy. where are flexrc located? are they china, eu or usa based ?
canada I think cheers
is it always windy there ? LOL
no when its not windy it rains
i have got a question, i want to build a drone and i got some parts together and i want to make it, it is fpv and all from banggood, my question is: do you think this is a really good drone and what are the pros and cons. imma list the components down here.

Sven Bosma
I'd like to know the answer too.
Also, how much did you spend?
Mark Kanzler i spend on the drone only €200 and on the drone with fpv and battery, controller, batterys €400, i am ordering the parts tomorrow. i am making a video on it so if you are really curius just keep up to date on my channel for i think 1/2 months, its my first drone so i can take a while.

Thanks for putting the flight time on the vid.
Great video! Flex RC has great customer service. I may have missed it, but what is the auw without battery?
its 67 grams without battery and 95 grams with! i got it wrong in the vid
$200? I just ordered all the parts for a 66mm rakonheli whoop and spent less than $100. Including the frame! I think these are two different classes though since you used the 1103 motors and micro builds have moved on to 0703. Now our brushless AUW is within less than 10 grams of a real Tiny Whoop!
Really nice build, might try it when i get better at fpv, for now i'll stick with my qx70 and qx95 for outdoors and get better at flying it fpv-style :D btw, nice channel!
qx95 is a good trainer for it enjoy!
Okay... so I saw a discussion about converting Tiny Whoops to brushed motors. Why would anyone want to? Maybe local rules requirement?
Nice prop cutter!
yes its a genius tool haha
Nice little whoop
nice build Andy
thanks Zimmy
this looks awesome
thanks yes it flys nice
I make that $208 (US?); that seems a lot of money for a micro Andy; although it seems a bit cheaper for the whole kit. And over £300 for an Owl, whoa! You can buy a very sophisticated 220 for that. Still, for the man who has everything hey!
yes but u do get what u pay for. these components are top quality and ill put my neck on the line for them any day and u cant fly a 220 indoors ;)
AndyRC
Thank you. This is exactly what I want
thanks john cheers
I have to say I've been a little disappointed by FlexRC. For a DIY "kit" there are a lot of bits that weren't included. welcome to the hobby it owes me about 30 grand ;)
So Andy .....Pico Owl V2..Pico X with ducts kit...or Eachine Aurora 90!?!?! Looking to buy cant make my mind up
Good Video! Thanks Andy! Ps.: Second!! Omg amazing I am so cool.
thanks for wathcing Tim :)
I think this will be a popular video
i hope so thanks
Nice!
i meant that it could run on 4s :p
awesome
First after Andy
+Cem Cakir mine doesn't count ;-) thanks!
quite pricy stuff 😑😑😑😑
Early :D
