I used to have lots of Solomon’s Seal. I want to go back to my old house, and dig up a chunk from the garden I put out front over 20 yrs ago when I lived there lol. Miss all my plants.
Read an article on the internet about Rodgersia that lead me to your YT channel. I’m looking for a dwarf version. Would you put a video together sharing all the details about the different varieties?
Most of them - most mature plants do well under a walnut provided they get water and enough light. It is just some seedlings that are affected by Juglone.
I so need a row of plants at the back of my North facing (Southern Hemisphere) pergola covered in ornamental grapes during the 40C Summer (giving full shade against the house) but exposed to Winter frosts down to sometimes less than than -7C and all day sun then. Any suggestions?

I live in Hamilton Ont. It's nice to see a video that shows plants grown here. I'm hoping to renew my RBG membership once it reopens.
Another great show
Side note, your UA-cam video inspired me to get the book. Thanks
So blatant advertising works! Thanks
Great information! I will be looking for several of these for my shade garden💚🙃
Loving the natives! Thanks

Where’s the best place to purchase these as plugs? Is there a recommended website? Ty for the information.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Are these all native to Ontario? I'm guessing that's not to different than what's native in Massachusetts...?
Not all native.
Put in zone information please

No, but I do have this blog post about species ID. www.gardenmyths.com/rodgersia-identification-simplified/
Wonderful selection- do any of these do well under the shade of a black walnut?

I believe G. mac. is native to Southern Europe
did I get my geraniums mixed up? Geranium maculatum - native to North America. geranium macrorrhizum - native to Europe.
Thanks for pointing this out.
