Mixing in R&B / Hip Hop beats in with a gospel song to ME is disrespectful. I understand that certain gospel artist are trying to “keep up with the time” to reach younger audiences but the beat and hopping around stage shouldn’t be the only way to do that. At the end of the day the main task is to minister God’s word through the music. I’m only 27 years old and artist like Lee Williams, The Canton Spirituals, and Shirley Caesar have all impacted my life in such a positive way and it was because of the way they delivered God’s message. I don’t want anyone to think I’m being judgmental either I’m just expressing how I feel.
