Just found out this tribe owned slaves into the 1860s and refused to liberate there slaves after the war and after slavery was abolished. They owned don cheadles family😢

I'm sorry but facts don't have feelings what your people did was evil . fact their is a paper trail of slave's owned by Indians your tribe was one ! Fact even after the white mans law gave black American slaves rights as humans your people refused to allow them autonomy . it's not confusing your ancestors were conquered by the devil then they became the devil .

We don’t hide from our history, neither can we go back in time to change it. Our tribal laws have changed, we incorporate lots of diverse people into our great First Nation.
