You really have to have a special remover to get this out safely. The remover my extensionist used made the glue dry up and crumble. My hair was completely dry when she applied it and combed the glue out. She gently combed it out, shampooed my hair and I was out the door. It only took about an hour. I'm sorry this didn't go well for you. Also she used a bonding glue to hold the tapes in place so they didn't slip out as easy. But I agree microlinks are so much easier to install and remove.
