Hi great video as always, could you p!ease advise when tying the olive alien is just changing the tail from black to olive marabou or is the body colour changed to?? Many. thanks
Its the Hends one, which is the same as the Jan SIman one. I have the Jan siman ones in stock, only thing is the handles are short so I added a longer handle over the original one you can find them on my website they are briliant nets for rivers and still waters not heavy either but I usually get 3 or 4 year sout of one before I trash it fraggin it through riverrs and bushes etc..
Always good to see the flies in action Dave!! Where were you fishing?, just curious, if its local for you it must be near my old stomping grounds, Keep em coming mate!!! ATB Chris
I always use a size up as I have always been told that the rod rated 6 is for a DT6 line and WF should always be a size up, never broke a rod because I used a line size bigger
Always as I have said before rods and AFTM systems where when only DT lines were avilaible and they are generally heavier lines overall, so most rods should when using a WF line use a line size up. Loads the rod properly and makes it easier on the angler. All too many angler think using power in thier arms and shoudlers makes them cast further, opposite I was once told the rod is the tool not the person. Loading a rod correctly makes casting so much easier
@@TheDavedownie Nice, I'm going to try that on my lighter rods. Had a break from fly fishing because of tennis elbow, gone in my right arm, still in my left. Maybe lead cores from back in the day didn't help!
