@MathiasGreenwalde He's a millionaire Investment Banker that bought Cerro Gordo with an Investment Firm with the idea of turning it into a tourist trap. He fails to mention that however and makes it seem like he spent his life saving to live alone there to preserve it, all while asking for donations. Plus he doesn't "preserve" anything and the hotel burned down suspiciously not long after he bought it and had it insured.
@@BaronOBeefDip Is that really why people watch Brent though? I feel like a lot of people watch his mine exploration videos, and even if he isn't preserving anything, and wants to create a tourist trap he isn't doing a great job of it. He is preserving quite a bit, and documenting a ton with his videos. Even if he throws away 90% of it and makes a tourist trap, that is still more than ever would have been saved otherwise and will still get people out there and thinking about American history.
He does research, puts his life at risk going into a historical mine, and gives us entertaining videos, while making American history interesting. Even if everything else is a lie, it's still a net positive for everyone.
@@Goodgu3963Sure bud, keep thinking that is what's actually going on 👍
