Chrispus Kimaru's story mirrors mine. I worked for Safaricom, got fired, although mine wasn't alcohol-related dismissal, but rather ENT issues. I started doing online writing around 2014 and that's when my alcoholism started. I've been to rehab 4 times but still relapsed. Only God came to save me. When Chris talks, I resonate with everything he says. Good work bro. I'm definitely going to look for you.
Wow! I have gone through almost what you have gone through. Your story is very inspiring. 10 years sobber now, after 15 years of alcohol addiction, and still counting.
My two young men are just like you and I'm like your mom was to you. I hope they can listen to you, have forwarded this channel to them but I know they don't listen to such things, but I'm believing God that one day they'll be delivered
I remember as a small boy hearing a family member describe H. E. James Gichuru who was then the minister of defense as an alcoholoc. I thought Wow! that is what I want to be when I grow up; an alcoholic in the Jomo Kenyatta government. Thanks be to God my dream did not come true.
U funny.u like me.i watched movies of women drinking and smoking yet CEOs so i thought i would handle.i almost lost my life.thank God now 4yrs down the road.1 day at a time
I wish I knew this much many years back when my father was struggling with alcoholism and eventually took the 'easy way out' as you mentioned but then again i was too young. Thank you for educating us and i wish you nothing but the best as you continue building yourself up away from the painful past.
I am a teacher in Uganda,,,,,I feel proud to see you doing it on your own is marvelous. Don't look back ,you are still young,,, Thanks for helping people.
I just came across this story randomly while seeking ways to stop drinking. It has really touched me and also helped me. I resolved to follow his steps in quitting.
This is one journey that I relate with in so many levels. From the first drink to the guilt of hurting loved ones to lost opportunities and suicide thoughts and then to that one devine decision that leads to recovery. To date, I am almost 3 years sober and everyday is a gift. Thank you for sharing your story Chris
It's so powerful my take for me " until the victim himself makes a decision to reform, nothing can work even prayers, change is personal decision and mental"
This guy is like narrating my own story in a different way,I thank God who delivered me but the pain I caused to those who love me is a guilt I live with to date.Step by step filled with hope🙏🙏
I follow Chris everywhere 😅. I don't struggle with addiction and that's that's blessing. But he inspires me aloooot. I also get to understand addiction and how to he of help to an addict. His story never gets boring or told alot, I believe this is a cause God has put in his heart and I manifest the support network he is envisioning. May grace abide 🙏🙏. Also God bless James - he is a true one.
Wow so inspiring thanks fr sharing...atleast now I'm wiser will help my brother coz now I know alcoholism is a sickness will seek help and I know that God who changed you will also change our loved ones God bless you so much..🙏🙏🙏
You are extremely brave to share and as you argued, it's your life. please see how your experiences of pain and deliverance can help many others. I applaud your family for being at your side. Think of writing a book sometime. Your journey has just began and there is a huge purpose for your life. May God bless the work of your hands.
I feel this guy's pain Alcohol is a hell of a drug....well any addiction even food can be crazy. Thank God for your family support 🙏 🙌 and your zeal to get better 🙏 🙌
It's a really bitter experience. I went through the same but I thank God i did quit in 2012.I resigned more than two times but my boss was very supportive. You keep on trying to end it all because you feel lonely, hurt and hopeless. It's quite unfortunate that you get comfort in knowing that death would solve it all. It's an internal struggle one has to win at all cost.
I still have hope that my brothers will stand in life again,,,,,,Peter, mose n Paul,,,,alcoholism is not your portion in Jesus Name..if this is Chris then I still hope for the best in Jesus Name 🙏
Please reach out to AJ Macharia. Also an alcoholic who has conned many people to sustain his habit. He is a brother to Regina Re. Used to be in us for many years.
Very lucky you have a great family, big up to your brother and sister for being there for you and our Almighty God for saving your countless times from death.I hope your doing great.
Wow God is faithful 🙌 Also your family is a blessing to you . Everyone deserves such love and care .God bless you Chris, God's hand has always been in your life and the enemy was determined to thwart it. God has the final say, blessings to you and your family. May your story reach many and give them hope.
One thing I appreciate my body is that I can't get addicted to anything no matter how much I try,,,I once tried cigarettes bt the smell wah, alcohol once once BT still can't cope.
