Saw them by accident at Forecastle Festival in 2014 and I was shocked by their raw talent and energy. You can't help by love them, especially live!
Oh yeah, my boys are getting some love in the national spotlight finally. If you ever get a chance to see them live in concert, do it! One of the best live shows I’ve ever been to! Any other Broken Bones fans here?
I hear ya! Sadly, I live in Japan so have had no opportunity to see them live. I'm sure they rock!
Hell yes!
Benito Thundertwat They are from Birmingham Alabama after all.
Saw 'em front row in Canada this summer. Absolutely one of the best live shows I've seen. Selfishly I almost want to keep them to myself so the tickets stay cheap, but I'm glad to see them getting the recognition they so deserve
Benito Thundertwat no way. This dude has more soul than just about any other R&B singers out right now. The lead singer was literally crawling on the floor pouring his heart out in this song. I shot this from the show here in Tulsa last year. This dude has heart. I thought he was a middle aged black dude the first time I heard him sing. Don’t judge them from this Christmas song. Lol

There is so much joy in this performance. Maybe Stephen will have them back every year.
This performance is now one of my family's favorite Xmas songs to which we happily listen every year!
Who could possibly "not like" this video? Everything about St. Paul and the Broken Bones is top shelf and ROCKS
You know at least one person walked up to him and said "Great costume!"
And he answered... "What costume?"
If you love this song, go see them in concert. They never disappoint and I should know as I have seen them 5 times live!
What an awesome voice!
Sometimes I'm coming back here at random just cause this was the first time I hear Paul sing. One of my favorite bands still.
All I want for Christmas, Santa Claus,is a Studio audience that can clap in time.....Broken Bones puts on a heck of a live show. See them live any chance you get!
First time I even heard of this group was when I was watching The Stephen Colbert show that night, and I immediately I loved what I heard, so on a hunch I went to there WIKIPEDIA, and the lead singer Paul Janaway with other members of this soul type playing style, formed this band back in 2012, and when I read that that I was thinking to myself why have most of us never heard of them before. I then listened & viewed a few of their videos here on you tube, and that too was enough to not only convince me to order on Amazon their three albums ever made, but also convinced me to check out a few of their upcoming concerts in 2019. "St. Paul & The Broken Bones" wished I had heard of you earlier, they sound GREAT!!!...
Absolutely love this group! especially the lead singer.
Wow I didn’t expect this to be so good!
That's beautiful !
loved it
This was on my TV in my room.. while I was sleeping.. it woke me up. Now I'm here. Lol. Is that you Santa Claus..
I love these guys!
Brilliant live, I go see them whenever they come over to UK
Dude has some chops.
Amazing!!!!
St Paul workin' the crowd :)
Great live band to see
ever since i saw them on Craig Ferguson's late late show, i've been enraptured by their style and talent. would love to see them live.
ST PAUL, DURAND JONEZ, CHARLES BRADLEY, LEE FEILDS, AND A HANDFUL OF OTHERS. SOUL MUSIC LIVES ON . ITS THE ONLY REAL MUSIC LEFT BABY .
They are awesome! I want to see them when they come to Vegas again ;)
Damn he's got a great voice, how do I not know these guys living in Birmingham, AL...granted I've been a bit of a hermit the past couple years.
Very cool!
That was fun!
Ho ho,that was awesome.
I like that one
Thank you Santa's elves!! Bringing xmas!!! LOVE sweater get-ups too!!
So awesome. Come back to Michigan's Fredrick Meijer Gardens again SP&BB!!
I heard a creepin, that woke me from sleepin'
I didn't even pause.
I snatched up my handgun, and fired at someone.
Is that you, Santa Claus?
Fucking awesome! Love his voice!
me too times twice!
Never heard of this group, but clicked on it because I *had* to know what a band with that name would sound like. I like the sound enough to check out some more of their work, although the lyrics in this particular song are a tad bit creepier than I was prepared for (I've never heard the original, so didn't know what to expect).
Nice voice
Bad ass song
Dang, bruh can sing!
This was fun.
New xmas classic
The thumbnail had me thinking Stephen was going to sing 😅
I hate Christmas music...yet I love this cover. So conflicted right now :D
Shoutout Indiana!
should have much more views!
Surely the title is "Zat You, Santa Claus?"
See tiny desk concert. St paul
that thumbnail had me thinking you had a Klansman singing on your show.
PlayerMick - that’s exactly what I thought
Great Performance! I just can't really look at the video while I listen though ... that slight desync drives me nuts.
New drummer?
The woman in the front row kind of look like CIA Director Gina Haspel ...
Great performance !!! ... but ... what was that with walking around with a microphone with a CORD ??
Or the studio-crew did not anticipate he would be walking among the audience and just put a corded mic on a stand, ...
Or ... my time-machine is finally working and I've been transported back to the 90's.
Don't worry; I will convince Trump to not run for president, ever.
anyone else never listen to the songs?
Well ... That was wired!!!
Nah it's not Santa. Sorry for what's about to happen
I want to like this so much but I just can't. Very annoying sound.
* still gave a thumbs up for the effort *
Lol it's called sould MUSIC. Real horns real keyboards real singing . you dont get it . go listen to beiber and ur rap trash
@@franklopez2702 I don't listen to either of those. I'm more into the 80's big hair scene, but good attempt at my music tastes. I just didn't like the sound of *this* group, no offense meant.
Jay Me oh NICE. K. Who is your favorite 80s band?? Maybe i was a bit harsh from a the christmass vodka. CHEERS
@@franklopez2702
There's only one true band, group, or icon, and it starts and ends with Queen 😊
