Thanks for posting all these videos. I love watching this stuff. I have always considered picking up one of these mixed packs and your videos have convinced me to stay away. All the glue and tape, scares me with the card condition. A lot of cards from the early 2000's also stick together. Anyway, I appreciate the preview.
I just sorted through one of my monster boxes from early 2000's last night. It was full of these types of rips where I bought a few of these variety packed boxes. I didn't find a whole lot out of it because I must've kept the good cards out when I ripped the packs. Was still fun to sort through, though. Miss being able to find these on the shelves for cheap.
Great video. Loved it. Reminiscing of the good old days lol haven't heard the name JT Snow in a minute. Im a huge Dodger fan but also was a fan of JT Snow
The “Ultimate Chase” was the Gretzky/McNall T-206 Honus Wagner PSA 8. Treat (the Walmart card vendor) bought the card for $500,000 and a few other vintage cards (I think even a 52 Mantle was a prize) to sell off a ton of common cards. A postal worker who didn’t even collect cards, won the Wagner and sold it immediately for $640,000. It sold a lot of times over the years and was found to have been trimmed by the original owner Bill Mastro who was charged with wire fraud.
I love checking out the oddball stuff! Fun stuff, awesome channel man! PS I think that the Gold Medallion cards are serial numbered and good players usually go for good money. Cheers.
@@brentscardbreaks7128 Ya most of the time it’s dumb luck. I’ll search online/eBay for certain years of packs etc then this will pop up. I’ve tried every way to find more but just so difficult. 6 months ago was easier and I grabbed a handful but there just can’t be too many out there anymore.
I pulled a 1997 Michael Jordan triumvirate luminescence out of one of these. It ended up getting a 10 years later. Probably the greatest pull of my life.
The second 89 Donruss was resealed because it was all red/yellow/orange player cards, other than that nice variety of the pack rips. Enjoy the weekend!

The good thing about these boxes from that era is the junk wax often includes some of the better stuff. Not always, but you'll find 93 Topps and Upper Deck to chase Jeter, 2001 stuff with Pujols and Ichiro. Of course you're also gonna get some 1990 Donruss, 1991 Fleer and 88 Donruss. Though I've always contended that 1988 Donruss is underrated. Not value wise, but in terms of who is in the set. Some really nice rookies, including HOF players, all the great vets and future (at the time) HOFers of the era. Just off the top of my head, for significant rookies, or rookies of guys who just had solid careers or shined bright for a period there's: Roberto Alomar, Tom Glavine, Matt Williams, Jay Bell, I believe David Wells rookie is in the set, possibly Mark Grace, but I don't remember if he's on the checklist, Devon White, Benito Santiago. A bunch more I'm forgetting. It is dirt cheap, and a fun trip down memory lane for me. I never understood why it gets more hate than say, 1990 Donruss or 1992 Upper Deck.
89 donruss you got the Smoltz and Curt Schilling rookies in one pack not to bad for junk wax and that’s schillings one and only recognized true rookie card that was made of him in 1989 … some of his 1990 stuff is labeled rc but obviously if he had an 89 base set card then they’re not true rookies And then the 90 donruss Slamming Sammy Sosa rookie not a bad day for junk wax Oh and if you would have hit that 89 topps Gregg Jefferies in 1989 or 1990 then you would have had a very hot card. He was the #1 prospect of the later 80’s and his cards were hotter then just about anyone’s until Griffey Jr came along and then poor Greg had to play second fiddle although he was still very sought after I Mean if you pulled a Jefferies card in a card literally the shop owner or person working would immediately try to buy it off you or trade you something for it lol I’m not sure who was more hyped up Gregg Jefferies or Brien Taylor although I can tell you the 1992 Taylor topps base rookie card number 793 was easily the hottest card in 1992 . It use to book in beckett for like 10-20 bucks maybe even a little more and then the gold *winner* version was easily over 100 probably closer to or over 200 and then the true gold non winner version was easily listed for over 1000. in my earlier days of collecting I had never seen anything like it, definitely was eye popping for the time and it 100% was burnt into my memory
In ten years a lot of the products that sit on shelves and get clearanced out will be considered crap, heck most of it today is already crap. Yeah you may get a jersey or autograph card but it won’t be worth much just like a lot of these ones in these repacks. The difference is they didn’t print a lot of 2000-2010 to the moon.
Probably the coolest repack I've seen. 24 packs of mostly 2000s cards is a really good deal. Not the best pulls, but is fun to open
I remember seeing these boxes in Kmart.
Wow!I remember opening almost all those packs at some point when they were new when I was 10-11 years old.

I remember opening some of them fleer tradition. The paper lost on that noly was gut wrenching, especially when that Sosa is on a stand. Diabolical 😮
Always pulling for you as you're bustin'. 👍.
The Joe Mauer was probably the best pull. I think that was a pre-rookie card. Wasn't a Bowman first, but was before he started in the majors

Far better mystery boxes than today's repacks/mystery boxes by MJ Holdings.
