Personally, it's not as epic as I thought before. It can be more intense, so it will be a real fight. Despite this, it's beautiful.

Yes it is indeed a fight, but you can think it as a nice and "not giving the fullest" battle, just like those tutorials or fights between friends.
Sans might be trying to kill you, but he's still going "nice", the final corridor encounter is where the it should be going full intense, horror and "fight until death" vibe
And, this is based on Shop theme so this is enough for it

This hits so hard, like this perfectly captures the "Sans Neutral Route Fight" vibe, especially the beginning. Even the beats and instrumentals being played in a more laid back and chill way compared to megalovania's upbeat rapid progression show off that fact that while sans is fighting you, hes still lazy, hes not gonna put in all his effort until the judgement hall. The song perfectly meshes his laid back ness and justice at at the same time.

Shop Sans fight ideas:
I would imagine a shopkeeper fight with Sans to fully take advantage of shop mechanics and the fact he's technically behind a barricade.
=Two targets: the counter between you and Sans, or Sans himself. Attacking either counts and triggers dialogue. (attack counter 2 times or until a certain point till there's dialogue. Attacking Sans will always trigger dialogue.)
He dodges either by ducking down, but perhaps if the counter is damaged enough, he starts side-stepping.
-Side-stepping dodging gives him more possibility of being hit, due to his upper body being exposed--but he keeps better accuracy by actually seeing where you are.
-Ducking as dodging, works but it tires him out more. Attacks after this kind of dodge are more wobbly or less accurate due to vertigo.
=I would imagine that you the player can also take advantage of the fact you are fighting in a shop.
=Destroy the counter enough, and you get access to healing items.
Sans will also use items from the store, using them as ammo or picking up an item that boosts something for him (mainly attack)
-Strangely, the battle screen would be integrated into the shop menu.
The dialogue/selection box either contains your 4 main buttons(mercy, fight, item, act) or the 4 main buttons are squeezed underneath.
-The dialogue box would be repurposed into the attack thing where you aim for strength.
-Sans will interfere with your battle box also by slamming the smaller options box into your aiming thingy, .
=You get him eventually. You cleave the counter in two, and the force is so strong you slash through into sans. He slumps against the wall, and after a moment of dialogue, he dies.
=dunno what other ideas could fit in this but this theme is so cool. it just sounds like 'the end' but not quite.
It would fit that sans doesn't die because in this, its just an encounter with each other besides you need an encounter with him at the Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall and Hotland until Mettaton's area.
reminds me of that deltarune fangame where kris and the crew jump worlds to get back to their world

This has been my favorite theme ever since it came out, i love the melody of past lives at 2:40 , i listened to past lives a little bit before this came out, and i loved the song, and this being a banger and a past lives PIANO melody? I love pianos so much, and this makes this song so much better.

You know, judging by the red lines behind "last 27 hours", this led me to believe that the AU would’ve been much different if Frisk was on life support, specifically due to the fall they experienced; none of those nuke shenanigans involved.

What’s interesting about the chords in this is that it revolves around the original shop chords but gradually changes into fairly different chords on top of the original.

So this AU is a "what if" kind of AU where a bomb is being dropped by humans after made aware of the existence of the monsters in Mt Ebott.
So I'll do a summary of what I found:
After Asgore went missing (so after a Neutral route), chaos ensues. Papyrus (idk why Undyne deosn't intervene?) tries to cheer up everyone, but seen as a bit too optimistic by other monsters, get's beaten and bullied by them.
Because of that, he starts to lose his mind (it would have been better if it was after receving a serious unintentional injury on the head, like his cranium being broken, a lot like Horrotale Sans, imo) and he goes on a killing spree (and breaks furniture? that's what the official lore says).
Sans knew Papyrus was killing because of what the monsters did to him before he went insane (I guess? Again that's the lore), and now, Sans himself is being beaten by Papyrus. And so, Sans put an end to that by killing Papyrus out of madness. He wasn't happy of that, and realized what he has done after hugging his dead brother's skull.
A few days after Asgore went missing (in parallel to Sans' event ig), Alphys created a device with a bunch of media (games, music, chatting apps...) to distract the monsters, but while setting up the music function, she found a broadcast from the surface of a news channel declaring, you guessed it, dropping a bomb (of type still undecided) on the monsters in 27 hours.
Well, that's it for the lore.
I think this AU had a great premise, and I absolutely love the concept, but the lore really started to degrade its awesome-ness. Like, where the f is Undyne? And Toriel? And if Papyrus getting killed was a must, why did he get insane that simply? And Sans just killed him? I think the head injury I suggested would have made more sense.
I'm guessing this is after a neutral run where Toriel and Undyne were killed? But if that's the case, imo, it would have been better if it was after a pacifist neutral, but maybe the more composed attitude of them would have interfered with the story (well, not like there is much sense to it)?
The strangest part, is that the player is... Chara?? And the source is official (JP wiki of the AU)...
Where do they come from? Did they just revived themselves?
If I was the creator of this AU, I would have made a new human (just like in Horrotale), but if it is a must to have Chara, then justify it? You could say that Flowey used the souls after the neutral run to revive them and voilà, it would have made a little sense, the least, sure, but at least something.
But... The icing on the cake, you're not going to be able to guess it, is that this Shop Sans isn't Sans, and is a self insert of the creator of the AU using "an unused sprite of Sans to give themselves an appearance". That's just... lame. I mean, I'm not much fan of self insert, but If it is well done it can pass, but this...
With the self insert, everyone just becoming insane on a whim, and Chara coming back to life as the protag, I'm guessing the author of this AU is pretty young.
But I loved the concept, I feel a bit betrayed to have been presented such a cool concept for it to be this sloppy.
Edit: After seeing some content about this AU, I've seen that the other 6 souls are there and used by Sans... So Asgore disappeared for no explained reason, and Frisk does not exist.

In 27 Hours there's a Nuke that will go off, destroying Monster Kind in Mt.Ebott so Sans [ and who knows who else but since AUs love Sans so much we don't see anyone else's perspective ] has abandoned his sense of Justice begins doing everything he can to procure a Seventh Soul to make sure the Underground escapes before Detonation.
Which most likely included him sacrificing his brother when he- probably- tried stopping Sans from up and executing the Human in Snowdin, but- we don't see that, it's all extrapolation.
