Ben, please dont click-bait, your content is good enough as is, ive invested in your book, courses etc. as well, everything you mentioned is about targetting middle pecs, not "inner pecs".
To be fair, since the middle pec portion is the one that attaches to the sternum, it is the portion you have to focus to grow the "inner pecs". What I missed was he explaining you can't grow just the "inner pecs", you have to grow the whole middle pecs. I was expecting either that explanation or some revolutionary method I have never heard about. So yeah, although it is technically correct, the tittle of the video is kind of click-baity.
Question about the Pec attachment to the Humerus: I'm assuming that the attachment site is medial so wouldn't external rotation cause a greater stretch on the pec muscle? I've always wondered why a pronated grip is advocated during pressing when a neutral grip (or even supinated) seems more advantageous.
A request for a video topic unrelated to this topic: can you cover exercises for spinal erectors without using an extension machine (for example creative smith-machine or cable station set-ups). Hollow arches are great, but a more dynamic movement would be welcome. Thank you in advance!
I would like to hear an opinion about upright rows from a smart bro like you, i think its underrated for the delts if performed with straps or grips of some kind.
With pec fly machine i'll initiate the rep with my hands in front of my body and doing just inner movement of the fly for inner chest building. In other words i'm not doing full ROM of pec fly.Just the the last half.and i am seeing good result.
@The_Modern_Meathead it's definitely an easier cue to follow than "retract the scapula, open the chest" because I'm focused on one thing instead. Focusing on the armpits moving gets both those done!
you're claiming that you can't grow the middle division of your pecs? at no point did i claim that other muscles or portions of the pec wouldnt be involved.
@ yes but then why would you make the whole title and thumbnail about something you cannot do in isolation, it’s implied that you think it’s possible to bias or focus that part
@@kl4224welcome to UA-cam buddy lol and it says how to grow inner chest not how to isolate only the inner pec fibers… hardly clickbait by UA-cam’s standards.
is there ANY evidence that you can actually build inner chest over, say, outer chest??? Absolutely not. Otherwise, please show some evidence. Honestly, it seems like everything in this video is about targeting the middle of your chest. Terrible video or terrible title?
I postulate that the less stretch you put a muscle through, the more the fibers closest to the origin contribute to the action. So the smaller your range of motion (focusing on the lockout) your inner chest will be worked. No there's no scientific evidence to back this up
Gimme that lateral raise vid siiiirr
xD apologies. i uploaded the wrong video and can't find the original because i mustve deleted it. i'll refilm it eventually.
PLEASE DO NOT SHOW THE LATERAL RAISE VIDEO YOUR SUBSCRIBES ARE NOT INTERESTED LET'S MOVE ON TO OTHER EXERCISES

No such thing as ‘middle pecs’
the middle pecs are the inner pecs, since they attach to the sternum.

ben what software do you use for the drawing and arrows?
im recording with zoom for the video and animation part. not the best recording quality. if you have other recommendations, im open to hearing.
Hi Ben, what are your thoughts on the guillotine press?
Today's push day so I'm really looking forward to trying this armpit cue!
how'd it go?
@The_Modern_Meathead it's definitely an easier cue to follow than "retract the scapula, open the chest" because I'm focused on one thing instead. Focusing on the armpits moving gets both those done!
I’ve grown that part of the muscle pretty well by doing diamond pushups or Chris Heria had one good workout called the incline diamond squeeze.
2:30 No. He is sitting way too high! And it DOES matter!
There is no such thing as an inner chest. There is only the upper clavicular fibers and clavicular fibers
Time to isolate my upper inner chest
You literally cannot do this. You cannot change your inner chest in specific this is completley wrong
