    For anyone like me that didn’t know, you can unlock the best engine (by FAR) in the game by completing the main quest “All That Money Can Buy” diplomatically, without violence. It’s the SAL 6830 engine and with 6 of them on your ship you’ll have the highest maneuvering thrust that it’s possible to have in the game. They’re absolute monsters.

    • @SimplestUsername
      @SimplestUsername Рік тому +5

      Well that's misleading.
      The max mobility stat you can achieve is 100. You can achieve this with ANY engine if your ship is light enough. The fastest engine in the game is the White Dwarf 3015 which give you a max top speed of 180. The engine you're boasting I believe has a max top seed of 130.

    • @tengrin9489
      @tengrin9489 Рік тому

      Yeah I love how they snap together so neatly.

    • @nerdoutreachprogram5358

      @@SimplestUsername I’m talking about maximum maneuverability per unit of mass of the ship. Having 15-25 thousand kilos of cargo space and being able to stay at or above 60 mobility makes them the best engine in the game. They have the highest maneuvering thrust hands down, and in a fight with 4 or 5 high level enemy ships maneuverability is everything, top speed doesn’t even factor into ship to ship combat because you can’t _outrun_ enemy ships. The best you can hope for is to max out your engine boosting skill which will automatically make enemy ships disengage whenever you boost, which can be done with any ship. But if you have a ship with a lot of mass and want maximum mobility, which is all that matters in combat, nothing comes close to the 6830s. Not the supernova 2200s or the X-300s or the biggest Poseidon engine.

    • @SimplestUsername
      @SimplestUsername Рік тому +3

      @@nerdoutreachprogram5358 You make a really good point about top speed.
      I just applied the engine you reccomend but took my build a different route only using two engines to replace my 4 white dwarfs. Because these engines are so efficient, my ship now only uses 4 bars of power to achieve its top speed, where before I needed around 9 power bars to achieve an equilvent speed of 140. I still maintain 100% mobility, and my cargo is a bit over 1,200 with no perks applied. I rapid unload everying in my main base so a massive cargo is not important to me. Though, a base storage system like that is a haste so I get the appeal of keeping everything on your ship.

    I want to thank you. This solves 2 of the 5 reasons I was debating on stopping playing Sf. 1st obviously the exp fall off no need to hash that point. 2nd I joined Crimson early regrettably so my dogfights were halved, and dog fights were one of the main enjoyments I got out of Star Field. Yeah I just let the salt get the best of me for a minute. I play on Xbox so I don't have access to Console Commands and the chests were my only sneaky way to get easy stuff like that. I have about 100 hours into the game so when I started to use the chests it's because I was ready to just mess around. I'll find other ways and eventually those will be patched too I am sure, but for now the chests being gone are one of very few complaints I have about the game.

    - Yep, love this star system for this.
    - Running a class C ship built off the Autobahn III. 4 x SAL-6830 engines, Cabot bridge, shield 1450, mobility 100, storage 4932. Use only top end PAR 6.65 fire rate 3000-3250 range weapons, 5 mounted. Third slot is 2 x PAR auto turret only powered up if get out of position, esp w/ 3 lvl 72 Starborn.
    - Starborn do pre-announce their arrival as do all ships. If needed, I use the 90-degree turn, boost (300+ speed) to about 5000 m, turn back, get in position and re-boost towards and engage at 3000 m.
    - Agree, fun and engaging way to grind.
    (This is Microsoft-Bethesda and VIP for Microsoft to have a 1st party game to compete w/ PS5. (I play PC, SX, PS5) They have been clear on us having the ‘Fun Factor’. Likely part of why they scaled back the environmental damage planet aspects. Read a player post recently that stated he was having the most fun in 40 years of gaming with Starfield. I’m in the same boat, built my first computer in 1969. This is a blast especially once you get all the systems in place. I have some 650 hours into Elden Ring, long a Souls gamer.
    The chest thing needed to go. Creation Engine 2 in current state not really fixable to prevent the under the map stuff. They will move to a new engine. All modern games, the base game is under leveled when the player over levels, I’m 104 in Starfield, past lvl 75 the base game is cake. And XP/cash grinding spots-techniques are built into games for us. Developers are gamers, they know we are going to do it. Designed so we have to put forth effort and have reasonable level, sometimes they get it wrong, like the chests.)

      So my usual loop is to change locations. Kill the lower level ships, disable the high lvl ones (50+), loot them. Then register them.
      Then I target my original ship for docking.
      Board my old ship so the ship I stole Flys off to my storage and I can sell it later.

    Ok, so if you want to make your ship invincible against enemies, you dont have to buy expensive weapons or shields, or any of that.
    Instead go to a ship yard, buy and attach radiators that attach to the SIDE of your ship. Each one pushes your ship off center. The enemies always aim for the center of your ship, but now, they will be aiming at the radiators, because your ship is no longer in the center. You can pick off enemies and watch their shots go past you. Enjoy!

    You can find the unique C class Va'run Prophecy here, even though it appears elsewhere, like the Dagger appears all over the place, but is just sitting there in Sparta.
    First time I ever saw my ship from outside in space. Then someone gets in the pilot seat. So I put one pip into grav, as it takes longer to spool up and set a course. - Looking closely, I noticed it was Sarah; whom turned it around and headed for the destination I set in the Prophecy. - Gotta admit, it was kinda cool to see my heavily modified Frontier in action. Didn't know the crew actually pilot it, I thought it just teleports to the shipbuilder.

    With the fauna farm build 2 circular farms both out near the edge of the circle. Stand elevated in middle of first farm then clear until it slows down and becomes cluttered with corpse. Then jump down pull out close range weapons and walk the perimeter clearing remaining fauna. Once you get to last house fast travel to the next fauna farm which is as close as possible to the 1st one. Walking the perimeter and clearing is what makes everything reset after fast traveling to other farm and doing the process again as described above. If you just clear from middle and fast travel it doesn't work and when you come back it will still be cluttered and slow respawns. I'm level 223 on Xbox doing this.

      Try Artemis, I've made an outpist, they have huge flyers that are 1-5 shots at lvl 30nsometging.and they spawn in huge numbers. I've made an outpost with a big landing pad so Indrop there occasionally, shoot thrm all, go away.
      Although it's low XP.
      Otherwise there are some 55-65 systems right from the main systems, look for temperate planet on Serpentis (III or IV) with a savanna biome, one landing I usually get about 3000-5000 XP not even moving from my ship, just pop up, snipe everything I can see, go elsewhere.

    The best way to farm XP with fauna is by building fauna habitats with animal husbandry at outposts. It still uses ammo, but the fauna you raise won't attack you, the respawn continually, and you get full XP for every kill. If you do it with a high-level species on a level 75 world, the XP is easy.

    About your points about farming wild life.
    Using a maxed out Beowolf you'll be doing 1k-2k damage per round of ammo.
    You can make farming fauna consistent by moving locations when the initial spawn area is farmed.
    All of that said this is a great video. Also im pretty sure the system you mentioned in your video will be the future home of the Varuun in a later expansion.

    Also if you want creds fast. Galbank ships over lvl 30 usually have bout 10k on them. If you were in the Crimson Fleet you can hail them use the piracy opinion then attack. After collecting the creds jump to an outpost an use the self serve bounty terminal. Clear than bounty then rinse and repeat. Note you won't be able to fast travel so use the grav jump to get to the planet the outpost is on

    I’ve actually been getting good at space battles when I face 1 or 2 ships. But being ambushed by like 5 ships is overkill. One of them kills me everytime I focus on one of them.
    Seeing you getting ambushed by 1 or 2 is actually reassuring to see. I think I will try this to see if I do get what you’re getting. I’m on xbox series S btw.

    Best Exp I’ve found is the adaptive frame farm. I may have gone over board with storage but I make 500k frames in one run on pc. I use Logitech for my keyboard and mouse. I set up a macro for pressing the e key in the Logitech app and a basic mouse clicker to left click for me. All I gotta do is head to Venus and wait a couple days and come back and reset my macros.
    At lvl 250 and get about 12 levels per run. I make sure to sleep for the buff but that’s it so it’s not “perfected” but works good enough to get me to lvl 328 fast enough for my attention span.

    I’m lvl 150 and I got it from making an outpost on a high lvl planet, making husbandry’s in a circle. And then you can use what ever weapon you want, just run around and shoot them, or snipe them from a distance for sneak damage. I use a hard target and kill them with one shot, and get 700 exp per 5 shots if I hit all my targets. And they consistently respond so you have about 60 or so enemies in this area. Very fast exp farm

    Hey can anyone tell me why most times when I jump around systems my point allocation for my ships systems often resets back to default values? Like I allocate all my points to weapons/shields/engines ect but then later I’ll jump to other systems and my points will need to be allocated again!! I just want them to stay the same until I specifically want to change them!!

    This is such an underrated method for NG+. Starborn ship is a great fighter, so those ships die quickly. You can get some credits, ship parts, & mats (but can skip to farm faster). Requires very little skill investment (piloting, targeting system). No bullets, mats, or building stuff required. The ship levels provide enough variance. You can board & take the ship if you want extra credits. I just ping-pong between two moons on one of the planets. Set it to "very easy" makes it faster and you get the same xp as harder levels.

    I'm definitely going to be trying this later! If it works I will be delighted!
    I'm playing on Series X so have been struggling for a good xp farming method in the higher levels. The crafting methods are physically painful after a time on my hands with the button spamming required being far more intense than it is for pc, the large outpost ones using domestication cause too much lag and the outpost becomes unstable risking crashes and save corruption, and the ones I've seen revolving around farming Fauna on planets I've been very unlucky in my planet generation in that the creatures in question don't seem to have spawned on any of the worlds suggested in peoples guides.

I think bug farming gets you a little bit more xp per hour, but you have to use a ton of ammunition. So if you have the ammo, I'd say farm the bugs. If not? This is a great exp farm too
