Have been farming this system for quite a while. Slapped down an outpost (basic) just for the fast travel in my A class fighter. Very fun and great for the practice.
@@drewfelts4788C class does not always mean better. An A class can be smaller and more manoeuvrable and some of the a class reactors are pretty powerful to run all the systems.
Ok, so if you want to make your ship invincible against enemies, you dont have to buy expensive weapons or shields, or any of that. Instead go to a ship yard, buy and attach radiators that attach to the SIDE of your ship. Each one pushes your ship off center. The enemies always aim for the center of your ship, but now, they will be aiming at the radiators, because your ship is no longer in the center. You can pick off enemies and watch their shots go past you. Enjoy!
An easy way to know and find if there are any ships around you is looking around the large ring of the hud for arrows. Those arrows will point you the direction of ships, cargo, and mineral deposits from asteroids. You do not need to scan with your eyes lol
That's crazy! It really works! I like it a lot, not just for XP but also to enjoy space combat, as the game has usually not much space combat. Thanks a lot!
You can find the unique C class Va'run Prophecy here, even though it appears elsewhere, like the Dagger appears all over the place, but is just sitting there in Sparta. First time I ever saw my ship from outside in space. Then someone gets in the pilot seat. So I put one pip into grav, as it takes longer to spool up and set a course. - Looking closely, I noticed it was Sarah; whom turned it around and headed for the destination I set in the Prophecy. - Gotta admit, it was kinda cool to see my heavily modified Frontier in action. Didn't know the crew actually pilot it, I thought it just teleports to the shipbuilder. Yeah, Serpentis is pretty good for Va'run encounters, and they love using big missiles and particle cannons. 👍
Lol... did this before I found out the other farming methods. By far the most fun I had. Makes starships levelling a lot easier too. But occasionally I'd jump to different system to scan planets and moons and to keys if enough time pass. Then return to blast all the enemies. Asteroids fields, ships debris ambushes. It's a haven for ships dogfight.
This method looks fun. 😃 I'm definitely going to try this tonight. I'm also going to see if I can steal a really nice exotic ship when possible. Thx! 😎👍 SUBBED!
Serpentis is also a great place to farm other things too. If you need heavy disruptor fuses, 3KV LZR, or .50 MI ammo, get it here by boarding Va'Ruun ships. I've also gotten a pile of legendary gear doing boarding actions in Serpentis. And if you choose to capture and sell the big class C ships after clearing them, that's an easy 20-30k credits. Just be careful of the level 60+ enemies with Magstorms or Magshears, they'll melt you in a second.
This is a great farm method. I'm getting tons of xp because I'm still level 36 and am punching way above my weight fighting these ships in this system.
I made a husbandry outpost and only placed a dozen husbandry buildings. Placed a few crates in the center with a sleeping bag for the XP bonus and just snipe them. 1 shot each for 190XP a kill. Yes it uses ammo but i can level up a single level in 2 or 3 minutes. Currently level 148 and i only use this occasionally when just killing time. No hunting for wildlife as they spawn in for you.
I love that system!!! Ships guns credits resources and they pop so quick! Lvl 65 prophecies are exp machines if you can board them. Revelations have fewer mobs but has random loot armories upon entry. My boy Khan joined me on Serpentine 3 and now have him bugged. He follows me through the system tag teaming house VaRun ships. He pops in about 10 secs after the mob ships show up
Serpentis also has three habitable planets. I haven’t seen this many in any other systems. Must be worth defending. Perhaps this is where Andreja is from.
With the fauna farm build 2 circular farms both out near the edge of the circle. Stand elevated in middle of first farm then clear until it slows down and becomes cluttered with corpse. Then jump down pull out close range weapons and walk the perimeter clearing remaining fauna. Once you get to last house fast travel to the next fauna farm which is as close as possible to the 1st one. Walking the perimeter and clearing is what makes everything reset after fast traveling to other farm and doing the process again as described above. If you just clear from middle and fast travel it doesn't work and when you come back it will still be cluttered and slow respawns. I'm level 223 on Xbox doing this.
Yes but it doesn't say to walk the perimeter after the spawning slows down. I mean 2 separate outposts as close together as possible with farm buildings circleing the perimeter. This way you can fast travel immediately after you clear one with my clean up technique.
This is actually really solid. If you need the credits, worth picking them up from the wreckage too 1000-3000+ per ship. Is Serpentis the only system loke this??
I needed this info cause when I’m ship hunting it’ll take hours before I see a single ship in space or planets I like stealing other ships and selling them they’re pretty good profit depending on the level
You can get 1000xp every 5 seconds if you do this method: 1 go to pyraas system then pyraas vll. 2 scan spiderlike bugs to 100% and put down husbandry outpost building. 3 get a coachman shotgun and put hornets nest mod onto it 4 shoot creatures at outposts for 538xp each round. Make sure to blow the outpost up and repair it, if you find the sweetspot you can kill everything and blow it up 1shot and repair in less then 2 seconds. You can use other weapons but its gonna take longer to kill individually
Just tried this and it was awesome, Also I think we both have the same ship. This is a great place for building money and items if you scavenge the ships.
My best wildlife farm I've found so far is Zeta Ophiuchu 1, close-ish to Alpha Centauri, down and to the right. In the Savanna biome there a hostile jellyfish floater spawns and you can take down dozens of them at a single landing spot. One-tapping them with a good scoped rifle's easy enough too, so long as you can keep your sneak bonus up.
I like the Schrodinger system, in particular Schrondinger II, which in the mountains and hills biome spawn Foxbats which spawn in swarms and give good XP
I do that out on the strix system i have a particle rifle that is explosive and it has annihilator rounds so i can kill several of the enemies in one shot alot of the time. Really any animals in a group are easy xp the most xp i have got in one shot was a little over 600 most times though its 200-300 depends on group size and lvl of course.
Try Artemis, I've made an outpist, they have huge flyers that are 1-5 shots at lvl 30nsometging.and they spawn in huge numbers. I've made an outpost with a big landing pad so Indrop there occasionally, shoot thrm all, go away. Although it's low XP. Otherwise there are some 55-65 systems right from the main systems, look for temperate planet on Serpentis (III or IV) with a savanna biome, one landing I usually get about 3000-5000 XP not even moving from my ship, just pop up, snipe everything I can see, go elsewhere.
The best way to farm XP with fauna is by building fauna habitats with animal husbandry at outposts. It still uses ammo, but the fauna you raise won't attack you, the respawn continually, and you get full XP for every kill. If you do it with a high-level species on a level 75 world, the XP is easy.
This is just like a Starship pilot walking into a new bar and hear a tale from a fellow pilot (True Vanguard) about a far away system with lots of dogfighting opportunity. 👍
Hey a question...what difficulty are you using? Does that affect the XP you get. Is there anything else besides difficulty that can increase the XP in Ship combat? Thanks
About your points about farming wild life. Using a maxed out Beowolf you'll be doing 1k-2k damage per round of ammo. You can make farming fauna consistent by moving locations when the initial spawn area is farmed. All of that said this is a great video. Also im pretty sure the system you mentioned in your video will be the future home of the Varuun in a later expansion.
Also if you want creds fast. Galbank ships over lvl 30 usually have bout 10k on them. If you were in the Crimson Fleet you can hail them use the piracy opinion then attack. After collecting the creds jump to an outpost an use the self serve bounty terminal. Clear than bounty then rinse and repeat. Note you won't be able to fast travel so use the grav jump to get to the planet the outpost is on
This is awesome since I did this method on very easy around the sol system to bang out my piloting for REAL xp instead of cheesing it on the flight simulator.
I’ve actually been getting good at space battles when I face 1 or 2 ships. But being ambushed by like 5 ships is overkill. One of them kills me everytime I focus on one of them. Seeing you getting ambushed by 1 or 2 is actually reassuring to see. I think I will try this to see if I do get what you’re getting. I’m on xbox series S btw.
nah, xp and spawn rate is all the same between difficulties. you’re free to farm on very easy! it’s nice as it removes a lot of the tedium if you don’t have a 1-shot ship yet.
Best Exp I’ve found is the adaptive frame farm. I may have gone over board with storage but I make 500k frames in one run on pc. I use Logitech for my keyboard and mouse. I set up a macro for pressing the e key in the Logitech app and a basic mouse clicker to left click for me. All I gotta do is head to Venus and wait a couple days and come back and reset my macros. At lvl 250 and get about 12 levels per run. I make sure to sleep for the buff but that’s it so it’s not “perfected” but works good enough to get me to lvl 328 fast enough for my attention span.
I’m lvl 150 and I got it from making an outpost on a high lvl planet, making husbandry’s in a circle. And then you can use what ever weapon you want, just run around and shoot them, or snipe them from a distance for sneak damage. I use a hard target and kill them with one shot, and get 700 exp per 5 shots if I hit all my targets. And they consistently respond so you have about 60 or so enemies in this area. Very fast exp farm
What are the prerequisites for getting them to spawn in serpentis? I've been chilling there for 30 levels setting up outposts and exploring and haven't been ambushed once.
Took my level 25 to the system. Destroyed a level 52 enemy and received 179 exp. In the process, most of my systems were badly damaged. lolz. I can kill a couple animals on another planet and get this much exp. Changed difficulty from normal to very easy, now much more satifying. Thanks
Been trying this, but I only received 150-200 xp per ship. So I'm not sure if they patched the xp rewards with the most recent updates or with the shattered dlc release. Either way, it does not work, at least not at the original rate.
Hey can anyone tell me why most times when I jump around systems my point allocation for my ships systems often resets back to default values? Like I allocate all my points to weapons/shields/engines ect but then later I’ll jump to other systems and my points will need to be allocated again!! I just want them to stay the same until I specifically want to change them!!
This is such an underrated method for NG+. Starborn ship is a great fighter, so those ships die quickly. You can get some credits, ship parts, & mats (but can skip to farm faster). Requires very little skill investment (piloting, targeting system). No bullets, mats, or building stuff required. The ship levels provide enough variance. You can board & take the ship if you want extra credits. I just ping-pong between two moons on one of the planets. Set it to "very easy" makes it faster and you get the same xp as harder levels.
I love doing space battles but it has been hard to find a reliable replacement for Krix after finishing the pirate story line. Thank you for this TV. I’m going to check it out after work.
I'm definitely going to be trying this later! If it works I will be delighted! I'm playing on Series X so have been struggling for a good xp farming method in the higher levels. The crafting methods are physically painful after a time on my hands with the button spamming required being far more intense than it is for pc, the large outpost ones using domestication cause too much lag and the outpost becomes unstable risking crashes and save corruption, and the ones I've seen revolving around farming Fauna on planets I've been very unlucky in my planet generation in that the creatures in question don't seem to have spawned on any of the worlds suggested in peoples guides.
Confirmed kill bucket system.. As an added bonus there are plenty of 300,000 + ships to harvest and sell to boost ur wallet too. Or to make C class builds cheaper than from scratch.
Does this method work before you first encounter the Starborn during the Neon questline? I rerolled a few times after I got to that point and while I am crushing the few Var'uun that show up, they seem to stop spawning after a bit.
I'm getting smoked in higher lvl systems with my Narwhal. Trouble is I don't have the skill points for upgrading ship parts... can't get easy levels anymore either. The iron/aluminum farm was needed too. I used to get 3k exp each cycle but now it's down to 1300
I use this and the bug farming method. Got me to level 177 so far, and i haven't even really started the game. I think bug farming gets you a little bit more xp per hour, but you have to use a ton of ammunition. So if you have the ammo, I'd say farm the bugs. If not? This is a great exp farm too
If your talking about husbandry building farm then use a coachman shotgun with hornets nest mod on it and only takes 1 bullet per round 538xp every 3 seconds

Have been farming this system for quite a while. Slapped down an outpost (basic) just for the fast travel in my A class fighter. Very fun and great for the practice.
Why do you use A class and not C class? I'm just wondering
Enjoy!
So smart!
Dam, if you can actually do that, this game truly is cheap & stoop1d
Thanks TV! Tested a few of my builds in your proving grounds yesterday! Easily the best place to find dog fights. Great video!
Wish I'd known about this 50 levels ago, been struggling to find ships to kill. Works a treat.
I was actually looking around for a suitable ship fighting area that I could farm, Thanks man, much appreciated.
An easy way to know and find if there are any ships around you is looking around the large ring of the hud for arrows. Those arrows will point you the direction of ships, cargo, and mineral deposits from asteroids. You do not need to scan with your eyes lol
This is old we already know
@@donomani98 you never know cuz he keeps making it sound like he’s just trying to look around and find ships lmao
@@donomani98 not everyone does 🤷
@@whitefd2 Yes everyone does
@@donomani98 no not everyone
Great exp and super fun no need for glitches or crafting nonsense!! Nice find!!
Lol, the Prophecy is hanging out by my outpost on Pluto. I can't even pilot class C yet, so it's just gonna sit there till I level it up.
Thanks!!! I gained 5 levels in a short span picking off those guys!!!
I crafted my way to level 80ish.
It's been a lot of Adaptive Frames
I am definitely doing this new method after work
Lol... did this before I found out the other farming methods. By far the most fun I had. Makes starships levelling a lot easier too. But occasionally I'd jump to different system to scan planets and moons and to keys if enough time pass. Then return to blast all the enemies. Asteroids fields, ships debris ambushes. It's a haven for ships dogfight.
Can confirm that enemy ships spawn almost all the time when you fly to any moon or planet in the particular system.
wish there were similar spawn rate higher level system, please reply here if you find one, i need more challenge in my grind :D
Not only that, I'm also getting roughly 600~800xp per fight + ~5000 credits
Thank god i found this, i was driving myself crazy crafting frames, this should be way more fun
This is a great farm method. I'm getting tons of xp because I'm still level 36 and am punching way above my weight fighting these ships in this system.
Oh wow, an xp glitch thats actually FUN and not bland and boring. Thank you
I told my manager that TV said I had to go play Starfield and she told me to get back to work.
What planet?
Use hornets nest mod on a coachman shotgun and just use 1 building and repair it each time, about 538xp every 2 seconds
He pops in about 10 secs after the mob ships show up
Best way to gain xp till now, thanks a lot👏👏 quick video and awesome explanation👍
Serpentis also has three habitable planets. I haven’t seen this many in any other systems. Must be worth defending. Perhaps this is where Andreja is from.
I think you mean habitable
@@Subsistence69 yes I did. Dang auto type.
Will definitely try this! Happy to see you moved on from Destiny for a bit and are doing Starfield content!
Big thank you TV, it was getting a little worrisome watching all my ammo go bye bye farming the animals 😅
I like how im not the only one who has the bug with the orange temperature thing on our space suit 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this! exp farming that's actually fun
Awesome, is there a video on this strat?
Even though I haven’t came across starborn yet, I can definitely confirm that this is a very solid xp grind
Thanks for pointing out this system. I went there to to farm the Ship Command kills.😀
And very boring.
Man I miss you MTash and Kackis’ podcast.
This is just like a Starship pilot walking into a new bar and hear a tale from a fellow pilot (True Vanguard) about a far away system with lots of dogfighting opportunity. 👍
My 8 auto turret destroyer ship awaits the battle to come, heading there now!
Hey a question...what difficulty are you using? Does that affect the XP you get. Is there anything else besides difficulty that can increase the XP in Ship combat? Thanks
No it does not Affect xp
Did this get patched already? Im only getting around 100-150 xp per ship kill.
I think it depends on your level.
Note you won't be able to fast travel so use the grav jump to get to the planet the outpost is on
Best advice ever, I'm going to be here a while.
This is awesome since I did this method on very easy around the sol system to bang out my piloting for REAL xp instead of cheesing it on the flight simulator.
Ship named “Sunshot”. You can take the player out of Destiny but you can’t take Destiny out of the player.
Amazing! This is so me! I’m gonna enjoy this.
Ha I saw the change from 4.9k to 5k with my 👍 that's cool. Good video
Thanks for the video. What location is this playing in the background?
Video liked for companion pound session 😂
Thanks for the heads-up!
Lovely find, thanks for sharing. Around 15 minutes per level for me at the moment, grinding up those ship skills, ya know? :D
Does game difficulty matter for number of ships or xp per kill, or chance of an encounter? Was your xp rate doing very hard mode?
yeah I would love to know as well since I am only Level 30. I'm flying the Star Eagle.
nah, xp and spawn rate is all the same between difficulties. you’re free to farm on very easy! it’s nice as it removes a lot of the tedium if you don’t have a 1-shot ship yet.
Is there a special ship build you suggest? Yours looks awesome!
Which cockpit is that? I haven’t seen one with stairs like that!
Just change the difficulty to very easy before you start this. The XP gains are the same and removes a bit of tedium.
Thanks for the tip. I had to fight hard to prevent my level 25 from being destroyed. Changed to very easy and now much more satisfying.
Took my level 25 to the system. Destroyed a level 52 enemy and received 179 exp. In the process, most of my systems were badly damaged. lolz. I can kill a couple animals on another planet and get this much exp. Changed difficulty from normal to very easy, now much more satifying. Thanks
Board the last ship for each encounter and you can get a little more xp and a high chance for contraband if you need money
Annoying isn't it?
Bethesda hot to fix the credit glitch but forget about the real issues.
I'm pretty sure you get more xp on easy actually
I don't care about why other methods aren't ideal in your opinion. Thank you for the actual content.
I love doing space battles but it has been hard to find a reliable replacement for Krix after finishing the pirate story line. Thank you for this TV. I’m going to check it out after work.
Thanks TV needed this🔥❤️
I'm definitely going to be trying this later!
If I'm much lower level at 28 will I struggle with those level 50,60,70 ships tho? I am using the ship I got at the end of the freestar ranger quest
Confirmed kill bucket system.. As an added bonus there are plenty of 300,000 + ships to harvest and sell to boost ur wallet too. Or to make C class builds cheaper than from scratch.
What's the recommended difficulty level for this method? Also, can I get away with using the Star Eagle for this farm?
Thank you for telling me this, I actually looking a place where I could hijack high level ships 😅
Would the Narwhal be a good ship for this edition?
Does this method work before you first encounter the Starborn during the Neon questline? I rerolled a few times after I got to that point and while I am crushing the few Var'uun that show up, they seem to stop spawning after a bit.
Does leveling up effect the Enemy AI. Last thing id want to do is do this and get to level 30 or 40 and become a bullet sponge
Subscribed for the wife comment. Im rooting for ya!
YES! More starfield content!
This works great. It’s fun and loads of xp.
This still works, gret way to level up skills for ship.
Cheers TV, interesting method!
how can you send your crewmembers to sleep ? or do they sleep always with you ?
I'm getting smoked in higher lvl systems with my Narwhal. Trouble is I don't have the skill points for upgrading ship parts... can't get easy levels anymore either. The iron/aluminum farm was needed too. I used to get 3k exp each cycle but now it's down to 1300
There are videos showing how to use ship parts you don't have access to yet .
