Oh my. I have been a cellist for 35 years and have a) never heard these pieces, and b) never seen a performance with such a mixture of style, grace, power, control, and voicing. Truly fantastic playing Zlatomir!
Beautiful playing. So honest and stylistic. I love it. I wish all cellists would master these early works. When we do that our playing of all styles and eras of music improves. Thank you for sharing your music with us., Congratulations on your Julliard appointment. They are lucky to have you on their faculty.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard such beautiful playing! You express this music so perfectly (I don’t know what other word to use) that I can’t imagine how it could be played differently and still express such beauty. I’m in awe of the music of each of these caprices and a large part of that is due to how you express it. Thank you for such a gift here on UA-cam!
Lovely playing, great cello, also use of dynamics tempi changes are wonderful. Just twos things: your pitch-finding hammer-ons should be heard only by you, and, similarly, the clicks of the strings on the fingerboard should be almost never heard. I am a fellow cellist, congradulations on your performance!
As a Cellist who plays alot of Bach suites, sounds as if the composer just took a bunch of influences from the suites. Unfortunately, not original sounding.

There are a number of Dall'Abaco's awaiting to be rediscovered I've never heard!

Why does everyone play number 7 as a slow movement?
Captivating and thoughtful performance. Cute forma B piccola too. Original?
Yes! It is the 1731 "Braga" Strad, which I had on temporary loan at the time of this performance in August, 2020.
Worlds fastest pinky trill
💕💕💕
Bravo! What strings are you using? Nice sound. 👍🏽
wth is 0:00 an Andalusian cadence????????????
Je profire de cette vidéo pour demander pourquoi les violoncelllistes solistes ont besoin d'une estrade pour jouer ?
