Does this device need to always be plugged in while you are using it? Can you use it briefly outside to check and compare outdoor air quality with the indoor air quality? For example, where I live there are no nearby outdoor monitoring stations so it would be very helpful to be able to briefly check the local outdoor air quality too. Thank you!
According to MY directions, it's not chargeable. On their website "Note: You can leave the batteries in when powering over USB, but the batteries will not be recharged. Your device will automatically swap between battery power and USB power."

You have 8 reading and the screen is only for 2. The wifi only works around the device. It doesn't work like othwrs while you are in town or other country. If its not plug in you can not see on your phone . The batteries compartment is so bad design.
Are you sure you don’t have the air things view as opposed to the view plus? From what I’m reading, the view plus has wifi so you can view it when not at home.

Just buy rechargeable batteries ;)
Still, the rechargeable batteries won't be charged by the USB POWER cable.

If i ever see a worst design than is this garbage . I paid 360$ and i will friggin send back. What a stupid thing. So many crappie design faults.
