Looks lovely Taytum. I am forever hacking patterns when sewing, that’s the beauty of making your own garments … hack them to fit you and your own personal taste. Glad you persevered though, you’ll get better with every make. I look forward to your next sew along 😊
I think you did a great job! I often have difficulty with commercial pattern sizing too. Nowadays, I actually measure the pattern myself (keeping in mind seam allowance and ease) and pick the size based purely on those flat measurements, not on the size-guide on the envelope.
