Orson Welles was renowned for his brilliance and his metaphor, as well as his oratory and acting. He was without equal, and an excellent model to learn from.

No way! This is my favourite moment in cinema. I wrote my first essay in my MA on this speech! I recently discovered your channel but I'd never seen anyone talk about this except his friends or one or two people from the 60s. Amazing!

If you see this and take surgestions I would highly recommend Orson Welles' speech "To be born free", which was also recently edited down and put onto the end of the Logic album "No Pressure".

What do I think? I think it's important that such speeches/monologues exist AND that they be revisited and reexamined. But not for the rhetorical devices that can be discerned within them. They, more than the cathedrals, can and should endure for their humanity and, yes, their beauty.
