Thanks Stefan! Its just a regular, inexpensive jump start battery with a cigarette lighter outlet, light and jump start cables, so I can even start my car. It goes uncharged for several nights! Cheers.
beautyfull! I want to give 1 tip that you'll appreciate. You could also make something that you can screw the handles with an accu screw machine instead by hand. for example with an M8 bold and then make a piece for your accu machine to screw the m8 with. that would save a lot of time! Best regards and clear the sky
Mate you rock! It's exactly what I was looking for... DIY doorway dolly for my movie camera! :))) I was wondering what metal you used. Is it aluminium profile or iron based (heavy and easily rusting) but more durable?
Thanks! It would be perfect for a movie camera! I'm using regular hardware store iron because it's MUCH easier to weld for an amateur like me. Not worried about rust because it' carefully painted with base and top coat. Of course it could work with aluminium too, you could even bolt the joints together.
Fantastic idea for anyone who wants a similar design the drawings are on my Google Plus profile, so long as you have a 27" base the design should work.
This was made by me, but i saw that Sky-Watcher have their own nowadays. It looks a lot like mine :) ca.skywatcher.com/_english/03_accessories/02_detail.php?sid=251
you really could have put that on a big slab of concrete or a big board of wood all it will do is sink into the dirt and your out of alignment by 4 miles !
Anyway the wheels are meant to move the scope further than my back yard, in one piece, since viewing isn't optimal here. And I rarely take the wheels off, but they were just made this way. Doesn't bother me much
cool thanks for the reply :) i live in a tower block so i get 180 degree view i haven't got a carrying case yet to transport it large distance im on a Newtonian reflector 5" 130 x 900 my wife keeps asking me when i am getting married to it lmao
Very, very impressive! Congratulations on your hard work and ingenuity :-)
Lulu Kastagnette
Thanks a lot for the kind words!
Very neat, lovely bit of engineering and looks professionally made; nice job :-)
Wow that's a bad ass trolley! Excellent work! I could sure use one of those for mine!
Thanks Stefan!

Good idea
Excellent design... Can you please inform from where did you get the leveling feet screws?
Thanks! I made them out of M12 threaded rod and welded washers to the bottom, and welded a nut and a t-rod to the top.
It's just so amazing. Do you plans or something like this to see some details ? Thanks for sharing this video!
for the leveling feet what length rod and the hand twist did you use looking for leveling feet like this.
Can you send detailed directions as to how you built this?
Dzieki Turntwig, pomysł perfect !!!
I just saw this. I'm getting a Skywatcher 12" Dobby like yours. do you sell plans for your cart?

Nice and inexpensive, good job.
But I guess the little plates at the 4 legs are far to small. They will sink in the dirt!
That’s true, but I carry a set of metallic jar lids with me if it’s too soft. But these legs work well on rocky or frozen ground 👍

Take a guess
for carrying your telescope to the trolley ?
get some lock wheels and leave it all on that sorted
You should be selling these.
