    Wow that's a bad ass trolley! Excellent work! I could sure use one of those for mine!

    Thanks Stefan!
    Its just a regular, inexpensive jump start battery with a cigarette lighter outlet, light and jump start cables, so I can even start my car. It goes uncharged for several nights!
    Cheers.

    beautyfull! I want to give 1 tip that you'll appreciate. You could also make something that you can screw the handles with an accu screw machine instead by hand. for example with an M8 bold and then make a piece for your accu machine to screw the m8 with. that would save a lot of time!
    Best regards and clear the sky

    Excellent design... Can you please inform from where did you get the leveling feet screws?

    • @Turntwig

      Thanks! I made them out of M12 threaded rod and welded washers to the bottom, and welded a nut and a t-rod to the top.

    Mate you rock! It's exactly what I was looking for... DIY doorway dolly for my movie camera! :)))
    I was wondering what metal you used. Is it aluminium profile or iron based (heavy and easily rusting) but more durable?

    • @Turntwig
      @Turntwig  11 років тому

      Thanks! It would be perfect for a movie camera! I'm using regular hardware store iron because it's MUCH easier to weld for an amateur like me. Not worried about rust because it' carefully painted with base and top coat. Of course it could work with aluminium too, you could even bolt the joints together.

    Nice and inexpensive, good job.
    But I guess the little plates at the 4 legs are far to small. They will sink in the dirt!

    • @Turntwig
      @Turntwig  4 роки тому

      That’s true, but I carry a set of metallic jar lids with me if it’s too soft. But these legs work well on rocky or frozen ground 👍

    Fantastic idea for anyone who wants a similar design the drawings are on my Google Plus profile, so long as you have a 27" base the design should work.

    you really could have put that on a big slab of concrete or a big board of wood all it will do is sink into the dirt and your out of alignment by 4 miles !

    sorry i see these things i am an engineer :) i wasn't trying to take the piss! ,,,,,, I make people think !

    • @Turntwig
      @Turntwig  7 років тому

      Anyway the wheels are meant to move the scope further than my back yard, in one piece, since viewing isn't optimal here. And I rarely take the wheels off, but they were just made this way. Doesn't bother me much
