1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Time to get this project under way.

Follow along as we start the Volkswagen Rabbit project. We picked this ride up a few weeks ago from a guys yard and it’s been sitting for at least 31 years. Pretty sweet. First time seeing your channel so I don’t know your intentions for this type of car but I would use some degreaser or other cleaner to give it a deeper clean on the interior metal. If that is og paint you can also buff it out and get a great shine. Good luck on whatever you end up doing. It will be exciting to see if you can get it running.

Thanks for watching.. Motor is free and is well maintained. I’ve got new belts on the way and going to change all the fluids and see about firing it up.. Hoping for the best lol

My rear seat frame is rusted out so I’ll need a new one. Thought about buying one and just redoing all the fabric

@@White_Trash_JKU A South Africa spec interior update(with LHD dash) would be a good look and an EV conversion using the Prius Transmission, Zonbieverter and a few other bits... :):)
