Amazing collection. I collect mostly vintage radio's and TV's, but have several early phonographs too. My personal draw to them beyond the pleasing designs is that you can actually use them, and then you imagine the enjoyment they gave in their day. You look at them and wonder what homes they were in at the time.

This gives me an idea for my husbands collection, they line almost the whole house, I told him no more 4 legged, lol! Beautiful! I've toured sanFilippo estate, it's just amazing to see so many beautiful pieces and we love nip and we do have a maiden hendren doll. I'm just so amazed by the fact that there so collectable and just really neat!! I love your collection!!

I queried the price of something very similar to that last gramophone at an antiques store. His Master's Voice brand, with the wooden horn. A casual $8000 NZD. Fair enough too.

I found a Thorens Swiss made electric gramma phone in my parents attic. It is a suitcase style. Can you tell me more about them a the value. Has to be cleaned up a bit.

Those cylinders WERE from the early 20th century none of those were brown wax which was the first commercial sound medium popular from 1887 to 1902. Heck the blue ones are amberolas invented circa 1912 and held the title of highest fidelity at the time. Yes very similar machines were used in the proceeding era but please don't spread anachronisms especially as a collector who should be expected to possess some knowledge which ya do and your collection is astounding just the wrong era as you portray it as.
