    10:37
As a disciple, God is calling us to give back to Him, not just a 10th, but the best, brightest 10th and to think about why we are doing it as opposed to complying without giving it careful thought.
This is regular, sacrificial giving. It’s giving something you love away to the One you love most.
Think for yourself as to why you as an individual should give the thing you most love to God first.
All your needs are met in Him.
All your physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, financial, practical needs are met.
This includes your future needs in times when you need them most.
God created you and designed you for His purpose and our highest calling and joy is fulfilling that purpose per God’s intention with God in mind.
Sacrifice is like any other discipline. It is denying yourself immediate gratification in order to get something better in the future.
By denying your own desires to increase your own standing, reputation or glory, and giving honour to God, you are building richer, more sustainable, more robust life that fulfils the purpose of your life, which was made by God and for God’s purpose.

The point of the series is teaching us to be faithful stewards of our money, which is one area of our lives and apply the principles to other areas of life so we can rightly steward all God entrusted to us, like our time, attention, skills, energy, talents, possessions etc

    3. Save it
    4. Invest it

    Proverbs 30:7-9
Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):
    Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches-
    Feed me with the food allotted to me;
Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the LORD?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God.

    1 Samuel 15:22
    So Samuel said:
“Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.

It’s harder to walk the Christian walk than talk about it.
God is looking for people who will do His will, not just think or talk about it.

    Rule One
    Honour God First.
The Pearl of great value can be bought by anyone … but it costs everything you have.
    Discipleship costs everything.
    God gives you everything.
    Discipleship means giving it back.
God becomes the owner and you steward of your life which belongs to God on His behalf.
Multiple places in the Bible you are told everything comes from and belongs to God
John 19 : 11 you would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given to you from above
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift comes from above

God can take anything in your life back at any point, and we are called to freely give, acknowledging it is God’s anyway.
The irony is, we will all lose all we have anyway, one way or another.
    Ecclesiastes 2:16-20
For there is no more remembrance of the wise than of the fool forever,
Since all that now is will be forgotten in the days to come.
And how does a wise man die?
    As the fool!
Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.
Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me.
And who knows whether he will be wise or a fool?
Yet he will rule over all my labor in which I toiled and in which I have shown myself wise under the sun.
This also is vanity. Therefore I turned my heart and despaired of all the labor in which I had toiled under the sun.
