Sam it’s great to see you again. I remember watching you fifteen years ago when everything was MAC. I learned so much from you. Loved the emphasis on thin layers and techniques to lift the eyes❤
Oh my God. YOU ARE BACK!!!!! ❤️ you and Nicola are the founders and original creators of UA-cam makeup tutorials. IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW. Thank you for this and thank you for doing a long format video instead of jumping on the bandwagon of short attention span videos ❤
I'm so happy you're back on UA-cam! One of my absolute favorite videos of yours (that has subconsciously influenced my 'everyday makeup') was the Marla Singer tutorial. I would love to see you recreate some of your favorite character looks from films or television. But honestly, I'll watch anything you put up!
@@BbGun-lw5vi it was on the old pixiwoo channel 💔will never understand why it's been taken down, such a brilliant resource which taught a whole generation of us how to do makeup, gone.
Firstly, I am overjoyed to see you back in UA-cam! Secondly, I adore this look on you! Thirdly, short hair on you is absolutely sublime! Fourthly, is that even a word? Well, it is now...anyway, I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store here! I am so happy to see you back on here!
OMG!! Now the resurgence of the Beauty Community is truly back!!! Sam - it is So Great to see your beautiful face again after all of these years here on the Tube!!!! I watched many of Nik's tutorials more recently & have loved them & I was really hoping we would see you here as well....made my day! So many of us watched, adored & learned so very much from Pixiwoo it just feels so good to have that opportunity again. Thank you Sam for showing up in the newest version of you - i hope your family is healthy & happy! I can't imagine how big your girls are now - I'm sure it would blow my mind!! My Lilly is about to turn 29 on the 20th of April - aye, aye, aye!! Much Love to you! ♥
I love these long form makeup tutorials! Recently I discovered mixing Lisa Eldridge Elevated Glow (I use Pink Moon) with the Vieve concealer for a base is so nice! Just a really thin layer instead of foundation and then of course adding a tiny bit more of just the concealer where I need some concealing. I’ve also been liking Dior Face and Body foundation with the Elevated Glow underneath great for humid weather!
Exactly. It's nice to see them (the OG makeup gurus and professional MUAs) making a comeback to UA-cam with their signature old-school tutorials. I was a subscriber of Sam and Nic's old Pixiwoo channel until they retired their channel and Lisa too had not been actively posting like she used to back in the day. So it's very nice to see them again.
I love how you explain WHY you do the different touches you do (for example, the different concealer placement for each eye.) And your hair looks great up - this whole look is very Ava Gardner : )
You're just as beautiful and talented as you were back when you and your sister had the Pixiwoo channel. So glad you're back! I'm just looking forward to learning whatever you're willing to teach us. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I’m so happy to see you and Nic back on here. I stayed away from instagram as, as an older woman I started to feel like I was ugly and needed a face lift. Everything suggested for me was about surgery and skin procedures and it made me feel miserable so I shut my account down and have never looked back. I think I watched a couple of thread lift videos and the algorithm stuck! 😂 you were the person who taught me the blurred lip look which was a saviour for me and meant I could still wear lipstick etc…. I hope you keep posting on here as your knowledge and style of teaching is wonderful. ❤
If there’s one piece of advice I’d give someone it’s never, never have a thread lift. I’m so glad that you stepped away from that. Yes, I completely hear you about instagram. Tbh, it was always supposed to just be the accompaniment to the UA-cam channel but I became so burnt out with the business and instagram is significantly less work and less of yourself and somehow it became the only thing I was doing. It’s really nice to be back on UA-cam and building something smaller and more in-line with who I am and hopefully who you are. X
@@samchapmanmakeup that all sounds wonderful, look forward to it. I can imagine the work load must have been horrendous. Hopefully you can do UA-cam at your own pace and be happy on here 🥰
Welcome back to UA-cam, Sam. I'm so glad that you popped up on my feed because I don't have Instagram 🤣. I'm so happy that you and your sister are posting to UA-cam again. And I'm loving the proper old-school, no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point (but still chatty) tutorials that you're both known for. It takes me right back to 2012/2013 watching your videos at my work desk (I don't work there anymore.😂). TikTok makeup tutorials are the absolute worst. I honestly thought you weren't coming back anymore. I remember Nic saying that you weren't ready to make a comeback just yet sometime ago on her channel when we kept asking about you . Well, I'm glad you changed your mind and I'm looking forward to seeing more content from you. Love from Singapore.💋 💋 ❤
Totally agree with wiping off the brows. My middle and tails fell out when I was young so I’ve been penciling them for years. Best trick ever is to do a quick brow bake. I use Laura Merciers translucent powder. Pack it over for two minutes then wipe off. After that, applying my brow pens and pencils is a dream. And the shit doesn’t budge all day lol
I used to obsess over your videos back when I was in high school! I am now a makeup artist myself, so thank you for being an integral part of my career journey! So happy UA-cam showed me this video! Looking forward to seeing more content from you!
Thanks for mentioning this is not about selling or buying new products. It’s good to say it as it reminds people they don’t need to buy more products it’s more about the artistry. Too many UA-camrs promote such overconsumption. Looks great btw!
I don't mind seeing you use a ton of expensive products. I'm not going to recreate step by step because I don't have your beautiful skin. Sometimes one or two products will stand out as suitable for me and I'll get those. It's just good to see your approach and techniques. Thanks Sam!
This was brilliant. You are 100% lovely-a classic beauty, yet so approachable. I found you to be refreshingly unfussy. Loved your product selects and application as well as your overall approach to make-up. This was the perfect elegant yet natural look.
I feel like a psychic sometimes. I was looking for you just a few weeks ago and now you are back! I would love a "best dry skin foundations" comparison video like old times - a mixture of drugstore and high-end. I need a new foundation and there's just so many options, it's overwhelming deciding what to try out.
Sam I hope you see this! I have been following this foundation technique almost to the letter. I am 58 and don't look like you but this makes so much sense rather than seeking that "perfect" foundation formula. You are so far beyond 99 percent of the beauty UA-camrs. I can't even watch anyone else now!
Dear Sam, your videos are very helpful and valuable for me as a mom with advanced skin. I've been more put off than inspired by the intense, product-packed, epic full face make-up videos of other UA-camrs, who are much younger than me and have other skin issues than in my age. With your minimalist approach you have encouraged me to try out one or two products for myself and together with the tips and insights you give along the way, they really make a big difference on my skin. Your video showing different red lipsticks is absolutely amazing. Then I got the Pat McGrath lipstick you’re also using here and I really get compliments every time! ❤ Maybe you can also make a video about your favorite nude shades? Love your expertise!
I don't use Instagram, but I have been following you on UA-cam since you gave birth to your first one, can't remember how many years ago was that. I'm a red lip person too, I absolutely loved your tips. Love you lots, good to see another video!
So nice to see you back. It's really refreshing to watch a makeup artist use thin layers sparingly and properly. I believe your make up looks far more sophisticated than the typical channels at the moment in which young influencers slap tonnes and tonnes of products all over their faces and have the audacity to pretend that it looks good.
I was really sad to see you leave UA-cam as I watched you here for ages. I much prefer the long-format of YT so have never been on Instagram. So it's great to see you back! And I always love seeing people not doing the hard sell (even though I appreciate people have to make a living) and showing skill instead- I for one can never learn enough, particularly as my face seems to have changed significantly over the last few years 😂
I am still digging my Danessa Myricks face palette after a year - its unbelievably versatile, stays all day on my 64 year old skin and never looks dry or cakey. I also have been enjoying my Armani matte lipstick, beautiful bright pink, #502.
So happy to hear a makeup artist's opinion on lashes; your mascara looks divine. So sick of 'influencers' who have no idea what they are doing, apply clumpy, gloppy mascaa. It looks absolutely dreadful. And they think we want to look like them? You are a very good teacher.
Nailed it with the mascara bit. I totally agree, it’s nice to just do a tint. Also I love your small brushes, idk why they make them soo big sometimes. Faces aren’t that big. I have been loving your videos, they help me since I have green eyes n brown hair so your aesthetic works for me. You’re pleasant to watch n so practical. You’re funny too n low key. Thank you!!
The original Lash Sensational mascara from Maybelline (in the all pink tube) applies exactly like the one you're using. Its got a very thin curved brush and this is how my lashes always turn out. 💜
Thank you for coming back! One of my go to combo's to this day is something you did years ago. It is the Clinique Cherry Pop lipstick with the Urban Decay pencil in Anarchy. The hot pink blended up into the red is so subtle but has such dimension. My favorite look you ever did was when you wore the sky blue pussy bow blouse and red lip. The video is gone now of course but lives on in my mind. Thanks ,again!
Your one of the first makeup artists that I watched and sooo miss your channel. Could sit and watch you apply make up all day 😍 you actually are an artist . Xx
This has inspired me to go more dewy, less matte with my foundation. Please at some point can you do a Brody Dalle inspired makeup video again! Yours was the best, often recreations tend to be too heavy. Thanks!
I just found you by bouncing around UA-cam. I don't wear makeup much. I live in Los Angeles and work at my home and only go out to visit friends, go to events or out to dinner, and occasionally for shopping. That said, I do like the look of flawless beauty. I usually just fill in my brows (Benefit brow pencil), do under-eye (and around the nose) concealer (YSL Touche eclat) and some blush (Clinique Chubby Stick). If I'm going all out I'll add some Makeup Forever Water Blend foundation and I love the Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liner. I like the mascara you showed here and actually bought it right away. Mascara is something I never use because it often bothers my eyes and I really don't like how clumpy it looks, but what I saw on you is gorgeous. I think by reading what I just wrote and understanding that I like a no-makeup-makeup look you may have some suggestions on a finishing powder. I'm not even sure if I need it but I like to keep the shine down so any advice is very welcome. Thanks. PS - you are stunning without makeup....lethal with it!
Sam it is so great to have you back on UA-cam. You and Nic got me on my makeup journey and have missed your informative makeup sessions. Great seeing you back!
with all the trends out there on tiktok or wherever, I always come back and stick to your tecgniques. they just work for me on me for some reason and gosh! i've missed you so much!!
I adore that you didn’t use a lot of contour or cheek products. I think I have been “influenced” to have to use a lot of sculpting products but I think after watching this I want to strip back. Great to see you in videos again :)
What a beautiful makeup style! I am glad I have found à makeup artist as you are. With simple tips and fun personnalité. Enjoy watching and learning from you!
The eyes are gorgeous, must seek out the silver liner... I'm pleased you are back on UA-cam doing videos. I first started following you years ago when you started making videos and I was bored at home with 2 babies! Now you are back on here even my husband said "Pixiwoo?" when he recognised your voice whilst watching. 😂 My hack for long lasting foundation is a light layer of powder first then my foundation! Controversial....
I will never get tired of watching you do makeup 💄 your lips look amazing 🤩 loved this video and can’t wait for your next one as always 👏🏻 would love to see you use a complete cheaper look too for people that struggle but still want to look amazing xx
I was not familiar with that Shiseido lip liner/primer product… That is brilliant. I’ve never even thought about a lip primer…. I just dumped a bunch of money in the Sephora spring sale that’s currently going on… What’s another couple of products at this point 🤷♀️. Thank you for showing us the product that I did not know it exists. And your make up looks beautiful.
Absolutely gorgeous and I love your open and honest personality. Do you like ByTerry and could you do a video of her products? Glad you and Nic are back on UA-cam. ❤
Oh yes!! Great to see my favorite makeup artists back on youtube! These are the best type of makeup videos. You always stay fresh and no cake face. Thank you for coming back.
You are the "eyebrows master", I noticed it from the start, it was in your early tutorials when you where pregnant...they always frame your eyes perfectly 👁
Hello. So glad to see you back. I tend to watch Lisa Eldridge (or Storror) videos before sleep or when I can’t sleep (as is the case now) and YT knows me so well you were right there. Anyway, whatever you dish out I’ll watch. Your skin is phenomenal so any tips in that arena is appreciated. I’m 51, love makeup but it’s a bit trickier now dealing with face drop. Cheers.
Love to see u back doing 💄 makeup, always looked forward to watching u on UA-cam years ago and more recently Instagram and tbh thought u had stopped so was pleased to see u back ❤
Love your videos! I'd love a hair tutorial for some of the various up-do's and other styles you put your hair in. Thank you for all your wonderful content.
Ohhh, I am so going to start lining my lips and filling my lips in at the center like she did, to give that more stain look rather than the traditional way lip liner is used. That makes so much more sense and looks so much better her way. That 7 brush was a mini fan brush and her brand makes one of those too!She should definitely know what it is because of that😂 And it is a fantastic brush I might add and I will be using it for the lip too now… cause I couldn’t really find a use for those tiny fan brushes either.
I’m a bit late to the party but I’m putting the Laura Mercier on over Chanel water fresh tint the original water fresh not the complexion touch which has more coverage and it’s giving me the dewy natural skin look I’ve been faffing about with for years so thanks 🙏 so much for this Sam 🙏 love your instagram lives and great to see you back here Wx😘💄💋🥰
I remembered many years ago you made a Barbie loves MAC makeup, and recreate it some time after, and I never got to do it on myself because of the lighting, it was very difficult to find similar products in my country. I was absolutely amazed by that look, you were absolutely stunning, I'd die for you to recreate it again ❤️
Love an in depth skin video, and I’m all about a glowy base too. I’ve been loving using Chanel water fresh tint which is such a beautiful product on its own, but with a little bit of Armani luminous silk foundation where needed, honestly it’s the most perfect base, doubt I’ll change it any time soon. My favourite red lipstick at the moment is Lisa Eldridge’s velvet rain, think you’d love it if you don’t have it, it’s a very unique wearable red, kind of muted slightly russety red xx
Don’t love the Insta framing but the quality is great. So happy to have you back on UA-cam. Loved the look of the lash tint used to love the lash discovery mascara from maybelline?? Discontinued in my country but so miss it.
You are my favorite, I'm so glad you're back! This look is great. I would love to see a video of 5 different quick makeup looks that are appropriate for the office. I always end up wearing the same look to work because I am out of ideas.
Really lovely..I love her simplicity even though she is a pro.. Also I find it nice to see interesting products from different brands, that are affordable, it is not as if she is using tom ford, chanel, chantecaille etc .
I love that you’re back! As amazing as ever. I was super sad when your 5 techniques everyone should know(?) video disappeared, but am so happy to be able to watch your artistry again!
Brilliant! You’re the first person who has mentioned having one eye deeper set than the other. I have this ‘issue’ but being a lot older than you the deeper set eye is also hooded, I use one eye lid tape on that eye which works but honestly you’re the only person I’ve seen who addresses this x
I will never tire of watching you apply makeup and explaining as you go. All of your technique tips and product recommendations are so good. Thank you x
I can now use my shiseido lip liner…I had no idea what the waxy end was…thanks Sam..x

Omg, hi Sam! Used to watch all the time but I haven't seen you since Pixiwoo ... Welcome back to YT tutorials
Soooo happy you’re back Sam I used to watch you and your sister religiously! Please keep going! Oriana
I copy this technique on a regular and always get loads of compliments when I wear it. Thank you gorgeous..xx
Honestly, I just love watching you fuck around with makeup.
Thanks for coming back on UA-cam, you are a amazing makeup artist. Beautiful inside and out 😊
Gosh. What a breath of fresh air. Where have you been all this time?!
I missed you!
x
The eyes are gorgeous, must seek out the silver liner... I'm pleased you are back on UA-cam doing videos. I first started following you years ago when you started making videos and I was bored at home with 2 babies! Now you are back on here even my husband said "Pixiwoo?" when he recognised your voice whilst watching. 😂 My hack for long lasting foundation is a light layer of powder first then my foundation! Controversial....
Great to have you back! Love that you're not selling everything ❤xx
That bold red is STUNNING on you ❤
Absolutely gorgeous and I love your open and honest personality. Do you like ByTerry and could you do a video of her products? Glad you and Nic are back on UA-cam. ❤
Liked this a lot. I never use that many products but the end result on you looks so light and dewy.
I love the bolder red lip on you ! I don’t think I could pull it off but it looks stunning on you !
Oh yes!! Great to see my favorite makeup artists back on youtube! These are the best type of makeup videos. You always stay fresh and no cake face.
Thank you for coming back.
The 2nd red lip color is gorg & your skin is beautiful 😊 A lil Kim Wilde with brown hair 😊
You are the "eyebrows master", I noticed it from the start, it was in your early tutorials when you where pregnant...they always frame your eyes perfectly 👁
UA-cam pushed you into my suggested watching.
Loved the look. Always fan of a bold, deep red.
So happy to see you here again! I was a die hard PixiWoo stan since the beginning🙌🏼💕
Cheers.
Love to see u back doing 💄 makeup, always looked forward to watching u on UA-cam years ago and more recently Instagram and tbh thought u had stopped so was pleased to see u back ❤
OMG YES THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love your videos! I'd love a hair tutorial for some of the various up-do's and other styles you put your hair in. Thank you for all your wonderful content.
Love it. The look reminds me of Jessie J + Rosie Huntington. You look gorgeous, as always.
So so wonderful to see you back - I particularly love the silver eyeliner on this look, thank you!
Can you please bring back and redo your supermodel makeup series? It was my absolute favorite!
I appreciate your saying to use what we already have and try to the techniques.
Hello Sam. Thank you for another fantastic video. I have learnt so much watching you apply makeup. It's wonderful having you back on UA-cam again 😊 X
I have very dry dull skin. Tarte Maracuja Glow Skin Tint gives me glow and moisture. Love it.
FYI I didn’t re-find you from IG, you popped right up on my recommended videos ❤
Amazing news. 👏🏻
It's great to see you back on youtube, Sam!
Man, I am still so stoked you’re back! And this look is absolutely stunning. Love it!
Absolutely beautiful make up. So glad to see you again. Love your video. Please more, more
Love an in depth skin video, and I’m all about a glowy base too.
Your skin is flawless. I’m pea green with envy. 💚💚💚
Really lovely..I love her simplicity even though she is a pro.. Also I find it nice to see interesting products from different brands, that are affordable, it is not as if she is using tom ford, chanel, chantecaille etc .
You're back! :D
I've been here since the beginning, welcome back Sam
I love that you’re back! As amazing as ever. I was super sad when your 5 techniques everyone should know(?) video disappeared, but am so happy to be able to watch your artistry again!
Brilliant! You’re the first person who has mentioned having one eye deeper set than the other. I have this ‘issue’ but being a lot older than you the deeper set eye is also hooded, I use one eye lid tape on that eye which works but honestly you’re the only person I’ve seen who addresses this x
Yes, funny isn’t it. I wonder if people just don’t notice it until they get older.
