HOW LONG IS THE CABLE YOU ARE USING ALL IN ALL INCLUDING THE COILED CABLES????
What is the cable outer diameter?
Thats because SA12 has two versions - I, for outer cable diameter 4 to 6.5 mm and II, for outer cable diameter 5 to 8 mm.
@@2L40K this guy is a joke... doesnt even answer questions
whats the difference between the sa12 and the sf12's that I find on mechcables
Cool. Reminds me of those dummy-proof ruggedized connectors the military uses.
wow! quality keeps getting so much better! looks so much more natural and just flows. great work josh!
My man is getting more handsome 😍😍
no u. 😊
@@CruzCtrl HEY MAN.... HOW LONG IS THE CABLE YOU ARE USING ALL IN ALL INCLUDING THE COILED CABLES????
@@Angela_800 WHY ARE YOU YELLING?!?
I wanna hug em... hes soooo jolly.
I just made my first order to make my first custom cable. I'm super excited and thank you for the inspiration.
Glad to hear! It's great hearing that the videos are helpful in getting people in making their own cables. hope it turned out well :)
i Love your work. and everything, but the shipping is just killing it!
Completed my first working cable. Finally! Thanks for your videos. They're really helpful. Highly recommend people check out your discord and subreddit too. Very helpful community you're building.

U r pristine
CruzCtrl thx for bein my boyfriend
I find myself just getting into the custom keyboard market and after a week of research the main lesson I learned? SOLD OUT, SOLD OUT SOLD OUT.
this is the reason i just started making stuff myself :)
the group buy process is part of the fun tho, keeps you on your toes
I've been very curios about these so its cool that theirs finally a video. Great job.
Yeah i've been curious myself for some time and it's nice trying them out. I always enjoy trying new things, keeps being in the hobby fun.
@@CruzCtrl glad to see some tutorials about these. Always love the videos.
My man cruz is looking great! Love the blue color scheme of the video
Love all your video man!❤️ I'm making cable using your tutorial but struggling to get the parts here in Indonesia lol
The Taeha types of mechanical keyboard cables good stuff man
heh
Thank you for showing our SA in your video. Love this so much! Can we share this video on our channel?
WOW, WEIPU is coming
I believe those black rubber pieces you pulled out are to make the connector water proof. Probably not necessary for keyboard use, but I might try to leave them on anyway, though the heat shrink might do the job..
When you cut the sleeve, it's good practice to immediately close it up with a lighter, so it doesn't fray.
I ordered mine and I cant wait to buildddddd!!
From artistic standpoint this cable is really super, super cool.😊
But technically, SA12 is a monstrosity designed for 2 mm^2 or AWG 14 wires that can carry up to 5 A @ 200 V AC.
For a keyboard cable even the smallest SA6 is more than enough for 0.5 mm^2 or 20 AWG up to 3A @ 30 V AC.
Size-wise SA12 is 18 mm in diameter and around 80 mm in length connected, vs. SA6 with 11 mm diameter and around 50 mm connected.
Not twice smaller, but close to...
niiice, do you know the size of a SA10? could not find info on weipu website
Definitely need this to match my blue anodized keeb! I didn't see any full cables in the shop. If I buy the connector is there a certain pack I can buy to go with it to make the same cable?
I was there when you made the first one haha. Great video!
heh thx, these connectors are ez mode to work with lol
Sick video! I hope to see more color options for this :D
thanks for checking it out :) I think there are a few more color options out there, hope I can get my hands on them.
THANKS, BRO YOU HELPED.
Awesome tutorial! Could you show us how to combine dual paracord colors on a coil next? :D
Hey Josh, the weipus also have the CE license. Is ist allowed to sell cables with GX12, 16 and YC8s in Europe without CE license?
I'm wondering how dangerous for the keyboard are this handmade cable, like: what would happen if I made a mistake making the cable? Like, the keyboard explodes or something?
YOOOOOOO NEW VIDDDDD
Do you use heat shrink that has glue in it or not?
Can you post a tutorial on how to make cables with 5 pin connectors or link me on how? I’m kinda clueless cuz I’m a beginner to this cable thing and I want to make a amazing cable for myself!
I had one problem making my first detachable 5 pin, I was following the wiring diagram and it wasnt working. I just reversed the green and white cable on both connectors
@@sk84lifewrx haha dw i got it you actually had to connect the drain to the 5th pin and it worked fine that was my problem
i really want the SA12 aviator but i cant find it anywhere else except for your site whic his sold out ;w;
What I don't understand is why all custom cable makers are soldering the male connector to the short cable to the computer - the side with the "hot" wire which could be shortened! It makes more sense to attach the female connector to that side.
In this type of connector, will pin number 1 always be GND?
Continuation of the question And why am I with a connector WEIPU SF610/S2 And it is the two-pin version, so it only has pins 1 and 2, but I don't know which pin is GND and which is VCC. Can anyone help me?
What is the reason for having a way of disconnecting in the middle of the cable? I have seen several examples of these for sale and never seen an explanation of its purpose.
It looks nice. I just don't see what options it gives you.

But really the functional use is that u can have multiple ends for different device types. 95% of the time it’s just an aesthetic choice.
HOW LONG IS THE CABLE YOU ARE USING ALL IN ALL INCLUDING THE COILED CABLES????
cant you use all detachable connectors as long as they have 4 pins?
Can you please make a video on how to make a multi colour coil.
how does weipu differ from lemo type connectors? thanks
How long how much more extension do you need on a cable if you are going to be doing coils?
it depends on the inner diameter of the coil and what materials you are using. I typically use about a foot of cable per inch of coil using a 1/2in inner diameter for the coil.
how long is the cord its self in total adding both ends?????
Any news on when the gold G16 could be back in-stock?
Hmm, been quite a few questions about those. I'll look into having more available soon!
are there any purple ones???
Where can you get colored aviators?
Tehcflex size?
Any tutorial on mutli colored cable
