Yes, I very much appreciate videos that have the written instructions as well. I love video tutorials, however, I'm also someone who likes to see the words as well 😁
Yes, pretty I so much love that, thank you so much, the written pattern helps me more BC our yarns in Cameroon is of smaller sizes , equally the measurements thanks
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. I was searching for a simple pattern for brimmed hat in a 6 to 9 month size, and this is perfect! I subscribed to your channel a while back.
I'm so glad you like it Judy thank you for taking the time to let me know! This was one of my very first designs - I think this baby might be a teenager by now :).
Thank you for sharing the pictures with me Nicole - he is so adorable I wish I could have reached through the screen and squeezed him. So maybe you could do it for me! I know you want to make a bow tie so I will try to get that to you by the weekend. xo
Great video! Yes, the written instructions were helpful. Absolutely love the little girl hat shown at the beginning of the video. Hope to make that one. I think it had a flower on it; do you have a video for that?
I'm so happy Michelle thank you! You would need about 60 - 66 sts. I do have a pattern for all sizes the brim is a bit different. You can have a look here www.etsy.com/ca/listing/257582551/crochet-hat-pattern-brookside-newsboy
I think it will be too small with a 4mm - I have used a 5.5 and got about 13.5 inches :). If you crochet tight maybe go to a 6mm? Let me know how you make out and feel free to ask more questions if you need help. Good luck!
@@prettydarnadorable I was happy to read this because I just finished up to the brim and I get 13 1/2 inches using a 5.5 mm hook and that is a little small even for a newborn. I think I’ll finish it as the pattern says but I think I would use a 6 1/2 hook the next time even for the newborn.
@prettydarnadorable Yes. Thank you 😊 I also increased an extra 3 rows. I have completed it and it looks so cute 😍 💕 Thank you again for your lovely tutorial.
For single crochet rounds are you going through both loops? I was going through the back loop and I’m on round 11 and it doesn’t look like yours. I also have the printed pattern.
@@prettydarnadorable To be clear, I need to go through the back loop for the half double crochet. thank you so much for responding . I’m going to start over. Beautiful pattern.
@@BabyDee78 You need to work through both loops for both the slip stitch and the hdc. If you like email me at prettydarnadorable@gmail.com with a picture (close up) and I will mark it up where you need to put your stitches.
@@prettydarnadorable Hi there, I too seemed to be confusing myself with the back loop, just to be clear, I crochet back loop for sc rounds and both loops for hdc&sl rounds?
@@brendacyr5649 So sorry I missed your message. Yes work through both loops for both the sc and the hdc / sl rounds. Feel free to email me for more help :)
Hi Kelly - sorry I don't - but I do have a newborn size on the blog. Perhaps grab those stitch counts and follow along? www.prettydarnadorable.com/2020/09/28/tiny-textures-free-crochet-baby-newsboy-cap-pattern/
Tell me - do you like having the written instructions on the video to read while you follow?

Hi. Hope you're doing well. What size hook should I use if I want to make for 0-3 months? And can I use DK yarn? Love from South Africa 🇿🇦.
Everything is in the video - you can use dk but would need to adjust the stitch count - hope this helps:)
