Love these people, I've seen them twice already-first in April 2006, first American tour for them, then in January of this year, 2008. They keep getting better and better. And they were absolutely phenomenal in 2006. No end to the talent and sheer energy they have life.
This has got to be one of the best British bands to come out the noughties! I heard this song whilst living in Holland but hadn't a clue who they were until my Son told me. This group has a kinda 'the doors' sound?. Thanks to the youtube uploaders, have been in my element listening & playing along on guitar. Awesome!!!
When a band wants to breakthrough and to affirm its originality it can succeed by the use of the its strength and its bright qualities! As you can see Editors are a band that drew the line between rock and the subtle new tendencies of indie and post-revival! They're the superb union of rock and electronic music referring to their newest records and they're known as a deserving band over the initial albums! They came out with naivety and enthusiasm, they didn't foresee to be that big deal and they reasonably tried to entertain the public, to charm the listener through a personal approach, but overall I'm pretty sure that they weren't aware of becoming one of the greatest names in the alternative scene and they didn't wish that at all, they slowly convinced the fans that a new way of releasing music is possible. They hit an unexpected position over the years, they experienced lots of sound and the leader's voice got tremendously in tune with whatever melody, that made the role of the band become an anthem in a specific field! Try to ask anyone out there if he knows or if he has heard a track of these guys! Everyone definitely can grant an opinion about this band, no matter if it is positive or negative but everyone knows the role and the importance of one of the most attractive bands in the recent history.
