Actually all charanas are in Sanskrit. Saint Thyagaraja was versatile in both languages and mixed both in this beautiful song
This song is so sanskritised that even those archaic Telugu words inbetween, most Telugu people cannot tell apart. But here "Vaibhogame" gives it easily off that this is a Telugu song.
@MSN to understand the situation of this song I'll give this example, "Do not judge hame". Hame is a hindi word but what language is the sentence makes sense?
@MSN Those who know Telugu know it is Telugu! But Telugu incorporated many Sanskrit words. Tyagayya wrote in Telugu so much so well to make us feel Rama is commonly called Raamayya and Seeta is always called Seetamma only- meaning father Rama and Mother Seeta. Some keep their kids names as Seetaaraam or Seetaaraamayya and write so that there is not even a single space between the words of Seeta and Rama- that close is what the couple are.

Number two, the word Vaibhogame is used only in Telugu because of "ame" in Vaibhogame is Telugu. You can actually check for Telugu Grammar. So, yeah, again, this is Not Sanskrit but Telugu. I am a punjabi but I LOVEEEEEEEEEE languages. Tamil and Telugu are among my favourites even when I don’t understand much. I love the sounds and this is so beautiful. This girl is so young and yet looks so mature and beautiful. Lots of love and blessings.
Tamil and Telugu are poles apart. One is least Sanskritised Indian language, the other is the most Sanskritised.

@Arumugam Sorry I didn’t mean to disrespect your well meaning comment. It is natural to wish the talent to prosper at the most profitable industry. I grew up Gyani Ilaiyaraaja and he has composed some of the best spiritual songs that will stand forever. Like janani janani, laali laali , Naan kadavul songs. I absolutely respect and worship Ilaiyaraja. But the children like Utthara, Soorygayathri, Rahul Vellal et al hopefully stay in the spiritual world and contribute to the sustenance and flourishing of our Dharmic culture. Hopefully they will not ever be in a need to be in the film industry to earn a living. That’s the motivation behind my earlier comment.

But the fact is audience for this songs are less when compare to others.
So they will grew with this and hope they will do lot more in divine songs.
@Arumuga. You make a convincing and valid point. Reach is important, I agree. 80-90% of the audience to this type of video are already convinced about where they stand with respect to dharmic way of life. But there is always the worry whether the entertainment will dilute them and will lead them astray.
At the same time, as they mature and further gain the solid footing, ie develop that manodhitam, it may work even more wonders. For now, we all hope let the time and nature take the course and hope for the best, I guess.
I did not know about Utthara’s movie song much less that was national award winning one. Did some search ( below link ) and the setting and the song really reflects really well. Thanks for the info
