We’re all familiar with the common European mistletoe famous for its decorative use, hung up in the hope of a Christmas romance… but have you heard of the Parrot Flower, a mistletoe from Brazil?
Alvaro Nunes has painted the mistletoe wonderfully here, with clear, waxy colour, detail and depth. He’s a marvellous painter of rainforest and native Brazilian plants, especially fruit-bearing trees.
