- This video features departures from Sydney Airport beginning around mid morning and continuing through to the early evening when the lighting was at its best. Some highlights here are a few B747's operated by Qantas, Thai and Atlas Air. These planes are always a treat to see. Alongside these the regular morning rush departures are featured as well. Enjoy the action from Sydney!

I love Thai Airways and Qantus Airways.
Enjoy the B747s as long as they are flying...😐 Unfortunately a dying breed, at least the passenger versions. Didn't Thai only recently retire their 747s? In any case they withdrew the last 747 from MUC only a few weeks ago. Sad😔. It looks so classy in the Thai and Quantas' liveries.
The first shot is fantastic of Sydney. It all looks clear. Love the Qantas plane taking off, love the A380 they look fantastic.

Time was 747's ruled the long distance skies! Great to see them. The 747-8 is magnificent. Triple X also makes my heart beat faster.

Poor Malaysia Airlines ! Even during spectacular take off videos, this was the only flight that could not be named/located. Fabulous video nonetheless. Well done. Spectacular.

Stunning indeed, such a great mix of heavies in Sydney! Great to see all those quads in such nice lighting! The ME3 all leaving in the late arvo is certainly something I hope to see at Melbourne one day - preferably all with A380s ;)

Imagine spotting in the 70s and 80s but with the quality of today's camera.
Definitely would have been some great footage to catch
Sensational clarity and superb camera work! I can even see the Captains waving out the window and asking their First Officers to change the aircon temp and stuff! (Just kidding, they're all hard at work doing their fantastic jobs!)

What a great video. Really nice to watch. Love watching all those heavies departing. Great quality. Very nice to have information about the flight and destinations of the departing aircraft at the bottom of the screen. That was really useful, especially for the Qantas departures, as they could not be guessed my most. More of that please. Also, could we see a bit more of the pushbacks? Great video again. thumbs up!

1:58 is it just me or there was sth wrong with retracting the landing gears of that Vietnamese 787?
I saw that too, something seemed off, the front wasn't retracting and it's like the main gear got stuck.

The Jumbo is still the most beautiful bird in the sky. A380 might carry more passengers but looks like a bus in the sky. The 747 still somehow looks bigger because it's longer.
