I totally understand about seeing them live! I'm about to see them live on July 3rd in LA at the 1720 and I don't know how I'm going to survive such music. They're on tour rn in certain places.
Have you seen the openers lineup of the upcoming Crossfaith tour? There's a weekend with Jiluka and Dexcore. And a couple other bands who're even remotely in "that particular corner" of the Japanese music scene. Following them for the entirety is like a wet dream for everyone who's into that. 😅 That being said: I want to like Jiluka. They have lots of really awesome ideas (and lyrics that make me feel Nirvana nostalgic in the J-version or however you want to call it). Unfortunately their songs always sound like a UA-cam compilation of TikTok snippets of breakdowns, raps, bridges, bleghs and all of that other stuff. What I'm trying to say: I don't like their transitions. I like calling them "compilation core". 🤷♀️ And somehow it's tedious to watch their shows because one song feels too much like the other. Tried to watch through a live video of one of their shows and gave up after half of it because it just kept feeling like the same over and over again? 🤷♀️ And I still hate having to say that because I still WANT to LIKE them. 😅
