Thank you...Ty Cobb stands alone alone as the greatest MLB player that ever lived for one reason. I knew the man. Ty simply could not conceive of trying/competing any less than the best that a baseball player could envision given any opportunity. Say what you will...
@@dannysullivan8929 ahh- the great debate! I wish we could have seen those old-timers play. Somewhere, there is a wonderful interview with Liu Gehrig, where he describes Ruth as the best fan’s player, Cobb the best individual player, and Wagner the best player’s player. Gehrig didn’t put rank himself in that group, but certainly his stats would support him being in that group. A huge tragedy. Thank you for the comment.

That is just your opinion.
I say Ruth because he was a good pitcher as well as hitter
Pure gold
this is from 1930 the cubs and A's played the WS in '29
Ty Cobb, worked his butt off and was the best individual player ever.
Second best to Ruth.

Yeah and he was a viscous red neck racist too.Which makes him one of the most evil men to ever play baseball ⚾..
He gave Ruth the Honor rightly so. Cobb was a maniac disciplined and driven to succeed.
@@chlduiowks You're very welcome.
What year was this recorded!?
Cobb played between 1905 and 1928. The moderator mentioned at @2:20 that Ty "probably missed the game", so probably around 1940.
Yeah, terrible post by poster.
@@stevehollywood1 I didn't say it was terrible. I said asked what year it was.
F**k that Racist Ty Cobb.
Cobb is a left handed batter so it makes since the toughest pitchers he faced was all left handed pitchers
George Mogridge, Carl Weilman, and who? Carver??
whos Mike?
the microphone, he'd rather face Walter Johnson than be interviewed
The best to ever play…
Yes indeed, George Herman Ruth of Baltimore, Maryland!
