Hello, I want to create landscapes for video content within Unreal Engine, and I'm not really considering working on games. Do you have a tutorial video for landscape in the current version 5.3, or will you be making one? Automatic materials and similar techniques confuse me; I feel more comfortable with materials I create myself. I had previously created a basic material, but I accidentally deleted it, so I'm looking for something up-to-date.

If your w,a,s,d keys don't work to move the camera go to Editor > Editor Preferences > Type Flight Camera > Change it to Use WASD for navigation.
I think wasd works if you click and hold the mouse button first.

When I go to perspective, then top' all I'm getting is a empty grey window. /no active level sequence editor detected. Please edit level sequence to enable full controls - are written on the bottom. Hello, thanks for your wonderul tutorials. I just started a new project in Unreal 5.3 and I can't find the Bridge plugin anymore. I searched for changes in 5.3 but couldn't find any informations. How can I enable Quixels Bridge again?
Awesome tutorial but my one question is how did you get your Quixel Bridge interface to scale down? I figured how how to scale down the UE displays but my bridge screen is monstrously upsized.

so would it make sense to add collision to the rocks separately BEFORE building/decorating the environment?
No, because it depends on your level. You won’t need every rock to have a collision if it’s outside the play area.

is it just me or there is bug on the UE 5.3? I just switched from Unity....this tutorial has been great...
here is an issue I am running into: When I open any new windows (Example: Env. Light Mixture), the window does open but I can't click on it? Also, My mouse clicks within Details seems to be all over the place...it doesn't really click where I intend to....none of this was happening on Unity until I uninstalled and installed UE 5.3 earlier today.
I am using Mac Air with M2. Assuming it should not be an issue.
Has anyone else ran into similar issues?
It could be a number of things, from the screen resolution, to a driver/OS issue.
If you are using a virtual machine, it would be a good idea to see if other people have successfully installed and make unreal work with your setup.

I tried troubleshooting and here is what I think is happening....when I have the UE Editor open, my mouse function for any open windows (including trying to read this reply) is not working. I had to close the UE Editor to be able to operate normally....
And within UE, it does happen often when I try to open any new windows, create new layer etc. :(
I understand this is not exactly related to this tutorial but has been very frustrating for me...
Not sure why this is happening but wasn't an issue with Unity.
@@milankhanal2460 try reinstalling and then restarting your comp. Sometimes fresh installs behave weirdly until you restart the comp
Hi. Thx for guide. I have issue, my END button sometimes snap actors to the ground, sometimes not, who knows why?
If anyone wonder with the same question, its because u need ground under actor to snap him to ground ("-_-)
Hello I just install Unreal 5.3 on my PC but I am very frustrated every time I try to run Game launcher it keeps crashing and it wont work.
I get an error message that says "GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed. Use -d3ddebug to enable the D3D debug device.
Check log for GPU state information." does any body know how to fix this problem?

I have a problem at 11:55 . I somehow don't have that Details-pannel. How can I fix that?

At around 1:07:00 you duplicate some stuff. You duplicated the actor reference. Is there any issue using the same object reference node for all of it or was there a reason you duplicated the reference also?
It’s the same actor reference, all the wires could be coming from the same one but I don’t like long wires, makes it harder to read for me

When I make a new level, I'm not in control of the player. When I go to when the actor's are listed and "posses" it, the wasd keys don't work. Help please? I seem to have one extra actor than the guy in the tutorial. The extra actor is "PlayerStart". Is there a reason for this?
The player start defines where the character will start when using a game mode to define the default pawn.
When you want to auto possess an actor/pawn make sure to put the value at player 0

Wouldn't it be better to just add collision to assets as you import them and not use the poly extrude tool, since it limits you by making one giant mesh.
the first thing holding alt plus LMB already doesnt work but grabs the actor instead, it already made my skybox change to a cloudy one, this is the small stuff that makes you go to antohter video. how should i know, the rest is gonna work...... uffffff....... man, why has learning these things to be like this.... there could be simple keyboard shortcuts across the board but as a beginner that is already an almost unclimbable mountain. stuff like this is the worst, because you know the complicated stuff didnt even start yet at all.

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve, if you are looking for photorealistic or high end results then it won’t be possible and that is the target of Unreal engine 5. But simple projects could be achieved with ue4 or other tools like godot.
Don’t give up the motivation to create games because of the hardware limitations!
