I've been jigging there w medium size butterfly jigs. Pink with some blue. At the bottom I jig-2 cranks, jig-2 cranks, etc. Big Yellows will nail that when they won't eat bait. Dom

Can you explain why you towed the Grady White on the bow cleats? I was always under the impression you tow using the eye under the bow. I've never towed a boat like that before. Does it help with tracking?

I'm headed to Lareto end of Feb for 2 weeks, private house& boat, I'm pretty new at this and my captain does mostly live bait, i would love to try YOYO/surface irons swim baits/Nomad stick baits and some shimmerfall irons.
Been stacking up on lots of different gear, any tips besides live bait which i know can be hot.

Looks like it was Volaris airlines. Can you take 8 foot rods in rod tube as checked baggage ? from the website says max 62 inches L + W + H. So that doesn't seem like you could even take a 6' rod. Wondering what the solution is to fly down with gear. Thanks to anyone that can share.

Great video but buddy; do you ever release anything...especially really, really, really short fish?? This is Baja, not Long Beach - no reason to take/kill little pinto bass or small snapper when you'll be hooking 20+lb yellows, snapper, dodo's, etc?? Many local fishing fleets in Loreto are trying to keep the Cabrilla from getting fished out/exploited by pushing to get anglers to release them...I'd think you would consider that; it's smart and it's respectful...food for thought. If you kill everything, there won't be epic Baja days for very long. Again, nice video and great memories of fishing with Alfredo's [Alfredo, Jan, Linda, Lisa] in the 1970's.
