It's crazy to think that since 2008, we have all grown up from children we were and into the adults we are today. We moved onto college or the work force. We moved onto what the world gave us. We have careers now; we have families now; we have our own independent lives that are what we exist in. But... when we come back and listen to this music, we can't help but turn into the teenage versions of ourselves and come together as if we were back at these shows screaming our lungs out along with the band. This isn't about "who's listening to this in 2019" because we've never stopped. This music is apart of our legacy and I'm sure as hell glad I loved it in 2008 as much as I do right now. Who fucking cares what year it is. Turn up the volume. bleed out those ears. scream your lungs out.
100% fucking agree. I don't even listen to this type of music anymore but BMTH has always stuck with me and it's hard not to scream along to all their tracks.🤘

im 32 years old, I remember this was hot shit in 2009-2010. I never grew out of this music, however my music tastes have really blossomed and changed over the years, but I come back to these songs because of nostalgia. I will never stop listening to classic metalcore and screamo/emocore. Classic for me that is!

i loved this song so much when i was younger i decided to give myself a chelsea smile with makeup for halloween one year and go to school with it on. most weren't sure of what i was and a few thought i was supposed to be "jeff the killer" haha. i was on the school bus going home when a girl with sugar skull face paint approached me and asked about my makeup. when i told her she got happy because i guess she understood what i was going for.. after talking for a bit i find out we were old friends at one point in kindergarten. we talked more after that and we became friends again. i miss her sometimes.

@@e3uphoric51 in live shows, the movement can disconect the mic, so singers tape the mic with the plugin, obviusly this isnt a live show, but it's like maybe for that, I remember in 2006 I sing in a band. we play in a show here in my city (afta,chile) and I start to spin and swing the mic with the cable, and the mic fly throught the people and hit a girl in the face, good times, good memories lol ahaha

So I've always been aware of BMTH and have liked a few songs, but I've just recently really gotten into them. I think, so far, my favorite album is Sempiternal, but I think it's a shame they don't play their older songs in concert anymore. I think this is such a good song to perform to get an audience reaction from, and it sounds great (maybe even better than studio version) live as well. I think if they incorporate new stuff with their older stuff, their concerts will be so diverse and will attract more people it would be awesome.

They do. I was on their concert on Friday and they performed Chelsea Smile. It was amazing!!! Actually the whole concert was epic! Goosebumps!

I feel like i'm the only one who fully enjoys all of BMTH's music from suicide season to amo. Everyone seems so divided
I had so many of my friends commit suicide to this song in 2010, I don't see it as a reason for their suicide but a song that made them feel like they weren't alone. Christian kids that didn't feel accepted for being bisexual or gay. This was the only source they had for feeling accepted. I watched my friends girlfriend carry his deadweight body in her hands as the hospital picked his body off the ground. She cried in my arms as she watched the ambulance took him away, he was only 15 years old. HE had a hard life, but this band kept him alive. It was sad to see him gone, I remember crying at his funeral, knowing that he was such a good friend. I wish he could be here today to see what this band had become. Knowing he was a music nerd as well, he would of loved it. He loved art, he loved coffee, he loved his mom. I just wish he was here today to see the new music that was produced. He would of been so happy. RIP Grahem, we love you, and your gf loves you too still. Still 6 years later.
If I could do anything to 2008 James, it would be a swift punch to the mouth. I thought this band was too "trendy" and deprived myself of this band. Suicide Season is a fucking gem of an album. I would have fucking LOVED this back in the day had I given them a chance. Happy to say I enjoy it now \m/
They were pretty scene at the time to be sure, but it was scene in a violent and destructive way with no cleans and it was the shit, and still is.
