Gonna be a long comment just to get my thoughts out bc I've been kinda alarmed by the sentiments I've seen even from respected channels about this, but commonly among comments
I was a big fan of both back in the early 2010's but by 2015 i was getting uncomfortable enough with the way Drake talked about women to stop listening. I always listened to what kendrick dropped for a while but i was mostly listening to different kinds of music after 2016.
I agree there is no justifiable argument that drake came out on top here. The lack of comprehension of the seriousness of the allegations, and reductions of this to a beef or Kendrick's intentions down to garnering intention, seem totally insane to me.
Even setting aside all the stuff with minors. Baka is a confirmed 100% trafficker, who Drake celebrated and then hired despite his irrelevant music talent. How often is human sex trafficking done just one time, to just one person, as a one man operation? How often does that accompany possession for the purpose of trafficking charges?
Then you add in not just the questionable behavior Drake has publically engaged in, but the attitude towards women expressed in his songs + attitude towards assault victims expressed in The Heart pt 6. It is almost impossible to conclude that unsavory and abusive things are not happening behind closed doors w/ these people.
Then i see people defend Drake basically just insulting Kendrick bc he mistakenly believed he was assaulted + addressed allegations by suggesting it is a victim projecting. It is unbelievable to me he would do that and even crazier to see people fine with it or even supportive (shawn c)
It has been wild to see people act like hiding another kid is more scandalous than sex trafficking or abusing minors.
I've also seen people justify Drake's comments about abuse by saying Kendrick "lied about Drake having a child" but that isn't s lie if he believed it, the specifics were supposedly fed by Drake so the topic was fr chosen for him, and its something that both plays into his persona + distracts people. That is not an appropriate or proportionate response to Kendrick believing a lie Drake made up to tell him.
And if true drake planted that he basically half confirms the theory that he is trying to intentionally detract from the sexual misconduct allegations, if not implicitly confirming it. That is dark and concerning
Very few people are taking it seriously, and now that I have seen what has been out regarding Drake for a while, idk how it took this long. I really am looking weird at people who were around him. I get how r-kelly got away with it for so long now, and if this is true about drake i never imagined it could be hidden for so long in this day

As someone who respects Kendrick artistically way more than Drake, Drake won. I think his disstracks had harder one liners and more replay value. It felt like rather than trying to outrap Drake, Kendrick was more focused on just hurling insults at him, but he didn't do it in any sort of clever way. I thought as a diss track, Meet the grahams was awful, it was all shock value and a big part of it turned out to not even be true.
