Ah the old stomping grounds. Although for swimming the girls missed the best part of Stroud unfortunately should have started at Millbrook rd. Black gate was the go to track back in the day. then they dozed it. used to be a good flexy track up the hill doesn't look very used anymore. Glad the huts still there and well kept. Fun trip enjoyed watching.

The Allen river is so cool. In fact, freezing cold even in summer. Had Christmas Day there a couple of years ago. Was awesome. Hope the patrol is going fine by now
you'll find a muddier track in chichester called jerusalem falls track. shame you didn't do the other half of black gate, but it might be overgrown atm.

Fun fact you’ve got the wrong grease on the CV it should be molybdenum grease which is dark grey not regular wheel bearing grease like what’s on it
And also they are swivel bearings, the is no bearings in king pins
Not all cv joints come with the grey grease, some come with a yellowish grease like a bearing grease
@Curtis the bearings are called king pin bearings as well as swivel hub bearings
