Director General of Meteorology, Mrutyunjay Mohapatra Briefs On The Low Pressure Over BoB

Director General of Meteorology, Mrutyunjay Mohapatra says, "A low-pressure area has formed over South West Bengal this morning, we are expecting that it will gradually intensify and become a depression over the central bay of Bengal while moving North Eastwards by May 24 morning, thereafter it will continue to move and intensify... These sea conditions are not safe for the fishermen and hence we have given a warning that they should return to the coast by today and fishermen from the east coast states and Andaman & Nicobar islands shouldn't venture into the sea till May 26. We are expecting heavy rainfall in the coastal districts of West Bengal and Odisha.
