Thank you so much. This is such a beautiful rendition, and your singing is amazingly good. As much as I love the original, I kept hoping there would be a beatless version of the song somewhere out there, and I found yours. I love it when guitars, pianos etc provide the rhythmic backbone to the song.
@@ThomasJakobMusic You're so welcome. I love it when people actually improve on the original versions of songs. I love AF, but I feel that their version of this song is about a minute too long. It's a great song, but there are parts in it that are ok, but don't necessarily do much to make the song better. I love how your started right with the verse, because the melody in the first 22 seconds of the intro in the original version sounds a little too similar to the intro melody in Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". I also love how you took that glorious little melody from what I think is the bridge and moved it to an earlier point at 2:08. I listened to the original, and this amazing melody line is moved all the way to 4:26, and somewhat obscured by beats and noise and maybe pushed too much in the background. The original also has this bass and thumping beat from 3:05 to 3:25 or so that doesn't do much for the song, either, and I loved how you dropped that from your version, too. Sorry, this is a bit long, but I really appreciate your musical sensibilities to make this song more tender and to expose its core a bit more than the original does.
