FC Midtjylland has once again demonstrated that 2023 has been their year in the stands, whether at home or away, in European football, and so on. Prominent tifos and impressive pyro shows have been the talking point when it comes to them this year. Some of the most spectacular pyro displays and tifos seen not only in Denmark but also in Scandinavia. The group contributing to the vibrant atmosphere, alongside Chaos Crew and Hedens drenge, is the tifo group Black Wolves.
The tifo group operates independently, supported by funds, including contributions from Black Wolves. Tifo work is entirely based on voluntary labor, with regular participants forming the tifo group, which includes representatives from a diverse group within the Mid-Jutland fan community.
While the group operates independently, there is a designated contact person from the Black Wolves board. The group's activities are financed by funds from Black Wolves, partly through annual collections. Additionally, FC Midtjylland provides a contribution, reciprocating since they often incorporate tifos into their marketing efforts. Many of the materials are sourced at favorable prices from companies and individuals who support the fan club. Black Wolves (or BW) is FC Midtjylland's official supporters' club, boasting a membership of over 1,338.
The association aims to support FC Midjylland by creating a festive and positive atmosphere at the team's home and away matches, organizing bus trips to away games, and fostering a social environment centered around FC Midjylland. The fan club was established in August 1999, originating from an extraordinary general meeting of Ikast FS's fan club, Yellow Flames. Yellow Flames was the sole real fan club among the parent clubs of FC Midtjylland at that time. The decision was made at the meeting to change the name to Black Wolves, inspired by the color of FC Midjylland's playing kit and the club's nickname.
