Praise God and thank you Dr. Ellie! I am wondering, should I go to dentist again in 3 months to check on those back teeth Dr. Ellie? I will be more thorough with brushing. I'm not sure exactly what you want to protect - but my system will help you - yes....I'm sure it will.

    But if you are having chewing gum after you eat then isn’t your saliva produced already in a stage of releasing digestive enzymes?
    How could it know to switch off digestive enzymes to produce mineral enhancing enzymes then 10 minutes later want to switch back over to digestive enzymes? It doesn’t make sense.
    I would think chewing that piece of gum for an hour (or whatever) would assist saliva flow & also help remove any bits of left over food caught in the gums? This was my experience.

    • @dr.elliephillips

      Stimulated saliva from glands in the roof of your mouth- stimulated by the pull of xylitol - is different from the saliva stimulated by chewing. This is squeezed out of the parotid glands in your cheeks.

    In what scenarios does one need root canal...??

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  19 днів тому

      If you have a dead or almost dead tooth.
      It is the nerve in the center of the tooth that gives a tooth "life" and this nerve is surrounded by blood vessels and liquids.
      If the nerve dies, and this central area gets infected - this sets up a bad situation.
      Cleaning out this area is what a root canal treatment does - but always see an endodontic specialist for this work.
