Everyone loves Kanade in lore (Mafuyu for the music that mad eher smile, Ena because Kanade is a fan of her drawings and Mizuki because Kanade accepts them for who they are.
Everyone cares for Mafuyu for obvious reasons.
Everyone gets along with Ena and appreciates her art (And Mafuyu enjoys her bluntness instead of sugarcoating her words.)
Everyone likes Mizuki for different reasons. Kanade likes her talents, and appreciates how she remembered something dear to K. It isn't certain why Mafuyu can get along with Mizuki, but it's been shown that Mizuki cares for Mafuyu (this video). Ena likes to banter with Mizuki, but it is out of good fun. She also cares deeply for Mizuki, noting that she will wait forever until Mizuki's secret comes out.

As much as we want that to happen, Mafuyu is still a minor. I wouldn't put it past her mom to implicate anyone that will take her in for kidnapping. I'm rooting for her to do it once she reached legal age though, get therapy then finally confront the Asahina household as a last step to the actual, official, nobody doubts it, genuine recovery.

Actually it the second one mizuki first event kinda focus on them as well
I love how both of them get a lot more expressive as time goes on; in Mafuyu’s case, she’s able to show emotion a lot more than she could at the beginning of the stories, and with Mizuki, they’re gradually able to open up more to the people around them. It’s really kind of wholesome, honestly.
Personally, I think Mizuki is kinda mistermed here, but I wholly agree with her point.
When it gets painful, when it becomes too much, you need a diversion. Something to help you get back to a better state so that once you face it again, you can endure and triumph. And as she said, running away won't solve the problem, but giving yourself space from the problem to recover and obtain the mental fortitude to overcome it is something good to do.
Even I can't deny I do that as well. I watch, I sing, I write stories, all to help myself rest so that when I can, I can face my own family who does the same thing to me Mamafuyu does to Mafuyu.

@@p2wg1llia i think, generally, it might be bad advice... but it might be just what mafuyu needs. to gain independence from her mother, she needs time *away*. which i'm not quite sure how that will work out, but still...
@@p2wg1llia how is it bad advice? It’s fantastic advice, and I think it’s only bad advice if you don’t listen to the entire explanation and just accept what she’s saying at face value. It’s the best advice one can give to Mafuyu, who doesn’t have the strength to face her problems atm. It would be like throwing yourself at a brick wall to break it down over and over again, rather than waiting it out so you can go get a sledgehammer and/or wait for the wall itself to crumble from wear.
Technically, Mafuyu has been “running” the entire time. She hasn’t made any progress fighting her mother, but she’s changed from someone who wouldn’t ever talk back to someone who has some fight in her because she ran from her problems.
Mizuki telling her that running away doesn’t just mean ignoring the problem, and that she should forgive herself for taking that break is fine. It’s what Mizuki needed to learn too.

i never physically ran away, but mentally i’d run away (and honestly i still do) from my issues, just trying to fully distract myself from them and/or forgetting about them without facing them head on. sob, i love mizuki, and i do relate to them a lot

SOMEONE GETS IT mizumafu is so important to me mizuki tries really hard just to be mafuyus friend and i think she needs that …. kanade is doing her best too but !! i think people overlook mizukis attempts to help her a lot
mizuki reminds me so much of high school me. school was awful for me, bullying is also just as bad, my friends are far opposite of me so they never understood my position. running away has always been my first option. i didnt even graduate lolol i had 3 months attendance out of 10 months of school and i dropped out immediately.
running away isnt as bad as it looks, hopefully mafuyu could distance herself away from her mother, that witch doesnt deserve mafuyu at all

I relate with both of them so much. In primary school I wasn't exactly outright bullied bullied but I knew ppl hated me. They would tell lies to the teachers and the teachers would never listen to my stories, the teachers would laugh at me for getting a question wrong, put me in detention for helping someone, ruined my relationship with my older brother (the only person I ever willingly talked to) etc. I hated it there more than anything. I had no friends either so I would just fake sickness so I wouldn't have to go. I remember once a teacher forced me to have a talk with her because I had missed 56 days that year. In the end I couldn't take it anymore and I ran away from that school and moved to a new one. I'm glad I did. Although my mental health never recovered, I at least was allowed to use my phone for refuge in the new one, which is far better than staring at nothing for 30 minutes straight twice a day for years

I can relate to Mizuki, in school i suffered a lot of bullying, i has "FRIENDS" but they have me their back when i most needed, i was very alone and hurt so i ran away changibg school. I always thought that was bad for not facing the problems directly but this story Made me realize that Is not bad, thanks for running away i could heal my self and slowly face my social problems. Otherwise if i kept in that school i would probably break or collapse

just wanted to say that i got an ad from project sekai before this video showcasing jackpot sad girl gameplay which is really funny and coincidental.
I’m not up to date with niigo lore rn, has Mizuki told anyone about their actual struggle yet? I feel like Kanade and Ena’s characters have found closure already, so the devs have started focusing about Mafuyu, but has Mizuki told anyone about what actually happened with their past? They kind of pushed that fact aside even after showing us how much it affected them in the Lower event. It’s not Niigo stories anymore it’s mafuyu and friends, not that it’s a bad thing but I miss Mizuki character development…
Not completely I believe, if I remember correctly Mizuki did say something that they would tell their secret once they’re comfortable and Ena says something along the lines of “I’ll wait for you”

mizuki is one of my least favorite characters, but the more i start reading about the character and their story i can understand why are they a comfort character for much people, mizuki is really nice and a well written character:D

hello hello your local mizuki kin here and I’m glad you like them, they really are a huge comfort character for me and many other people!
I know everyone can enjoy whatever they want about franchise. but it kinda baffles me shipping is what everyone talk about here lol.
This is peak Mizuki content right here. Tying everything back to their distraught past, they're finally able to break Mafuyu's shell and make her do what's probably her most fruitful reflection yet.
I really didn't like it when they retconned Ena to be the first to found Mizuki's drawing just to push the ship, when it was originally Kanade who did it.
Kinda take away Kanade's integrity as the central person that tie them all together. So I hope going forward they'll focus on the nuance more than fanservice.
I feel like in the first place it wasn't really retconned (I remember hearing some lines specifically got changed from Ribbon to make it clearer), but the exact wording was always like Ena considered Kanade to be the first one to 'truly' acknowledge her art, not the literal first one (since Ena already looked up to Kanade in the first place), so it would have been entirely possible for both facts to coexist and not be mutually exclusive I think

On the other hand as touching as it is to me i can relate just half of the time.
Running away from problems becomes a little too addictive, and i used to skip school when it became unbearable and lonely, i dropped it too, just for it to break me much harder later. And i still can't move on. And I'm not the same anymore. When will it end is all i wonder about.
A whole different story, i think.
