Over the years many products, in a ton of spaces that were 1 step down from the flagship have served me well - earbuds included. Most have offered 90% of the quality n' features for 60-75% of the top tier's pricetag. Thanks for this thorough review

If I could afford them I'd go for the 622B because of your high praise for it but I'd absolutely take either if someone wanted to share their love of the hobby & gift it me LoL
I wonder if folks with a library that leans more toward classical and jazz would find this to match their preferences more than the flagship, because it seems like most folks would likely be better off saving a little more for the CP622B. I just can't imagine being in a headspace of planning on spending nearly $3000 for an IEM and "settling" for the 2nd best product in a lineup unless the tuning is genuinely more to one's preference.
It's a tough toss up between the 622B and the 74E. Both are good in their own merit, however they've taken quite a different approach. Seeing how you still lean towards the 622B and still call it one of the best for the money does get me wondering how it stacks up with the others
Damn and here I am listening with my Hola with the large Divinus Velvet tips. Hola is still a great set btw and the Velvet tips because they are bigger in size give it more bass, the sound is really clean for such a cheap pair of IEMs.
Good even handed review Money tree iems are expected to perform at a higher level than mass market iems this one sounds like it's a winner even without the special sauce the BCD brings to its sibling.
I always find it interesting the difference and similarities between the reviews for the mid tier ($250 to $750 ish - everybody's definition is different) and the money trees like this. I get the impression that a release like this is really good, but you have to compare great with great and just highlight the differences, rather than the good vs. the bad with mid tier. There are always exceptions (like knives to the ears), but the differences seem to be in the 1% range rather than 10-50%. Maybe it's my bias towards money trees, but is that an accurate observation?
Canpur is now doing some great sets nowadays.. Hope they will consider to create some good IEMs which can also be very accesible to some people someday
I don't know if I prefer these kind of naming convention, or those with 'catchier' names. But it seems like a nice set anyway, which is nice to know for that price.

So balanced armature bass is much improved? You basically sold this set to me :) I won't be buying it right away, but this is my big indulgence this year.

In the world of PC parts and cars, the usual best value is the model right underneath the flagship. Looks like it might hold true here as well. Myself though, if I get to this level of money. I’d probably save up for the 622B
This set looks like what i would desire for, only if I can travel to singapore to demo. It would be interesting to do comparison with other vocal centric set like the diva.
Tried both at CamJam at the Musicteck booth in NYC. I liked the 622b better as well, but this is a good set. For that price point I went for the GM instead, but also considering the 622b as a next purchase.
Damn... Bass comparable to u12t.... Recently I had an opportunity to listen to u12t in headphone connect and it blew me away.... So.... That's good to know that Canpur is similar to that....

Color me intrigued. Many people complain about vocal timbre with planars. This one is worth looking into, especially at that price point.

Canpur sets all seem well built and with quality tunings. I’ll be interested to see how some of their more affordable sets review.

The CP622B would be more my taste. However one you get into that Kilobuck area, there are a lot of great options.
