    Great video. I thought this pedal was interesting as I've heard it in other videos. Every other video made it a very experimental music pedal and it is, but!! You managed to tame it and make music and this is the first demonstration I've seen of that. It's not just bleeps and bloops, but music arranged in a way that is pleasing to listen to. With the way technology has transformed and has transformed the way we think of possibilities, I am stuck here wondering if there is a way to make a Frippertronics reel to reel delay looping interface that would be less encumbering and easier to use …. But then I realize listening ti what you’re doing here that there is no reason to even imagine it given what we have available in a single standard stomp form factor these days. Hi Stefan. Do you recommend this pedal for modern Slowdive shoegaze style?

    • @thepedalzone
      @thepedalzone  11 місяців тому

      Sure, you can get some nice pristine digital delays as well as more washy modulated textures, all something that Slowdive incorporates into their songwriting. But this pedal might be a little bit overkill, if you're just looking to cop some dream pop/shoegaze textures. But if you want a pedal that does a ton of experimental stuff as well as the more classic dreamy delay stuff, then Habit is a solid option.

      I used to have a Ct5 and now have the Habit. It can definitely cover some of the same ground, but Habit is capable of a lot more and I find the controls to be more intuitive as well.

      @@TheGreenKingdom Yeah, I've got the CT5 and a Blooper, but I expect I'll also have a Habit (hah!) eventually. Stefan has sold me a lot of pedals!

      Well, at least we're still able to enjoy the things we can't have through media sources like UA-cam, and we can enjoy it whenever and wherever we want. That's a t least something. But yes, their pedals most definitely aren't cheap, but you get a lot of sounds for the money. Hope you'll be able to pick one up at some point. Maybe you can find some of their pedals cheaper on the used market.

    Thank you for the effort. But, this is quite a weak demo. I applaud the shorter format. and you state a fun setting, but only talk about the other functionality. Admittedly, a sophisticated device, but many aspects are overlooked here that would make your vid more interesting and comprehensive, and I'm not talking dip switches. I have faith in you and hope you will improve.
