This changed my life as an American. I would listen and wonder about our black brothers and sisters across the pond. They have their own sound that’s very sick.
Drum & Bass was never a "black" genre, nor were the Jungle and Hardcore scenes it grew from. Neither was the UK Garage scene that followed it. The UK rave scene was a melting pot right from the start when Acid House first arrived in 1988. Goldie's Timeless album (Inner City Life is the first track) is largely the work of his co-producer/engineer Rob Playford.
@@mrglasses8953come on bro. the sheer amount of dancehall, soul, and other african diasporic genres that influence dnb makes your argument null regardless of how mixed the scene was.
without a doubt ...me too I remember hearing this the first time I attended a rave in Atlanta in late 90's followed by hearing LTJ Bukem and it just blew me away.
I was 9 years old when this came out in the UK. It got into the charts and made it onto radio and compilation CDs which I listened to, life changing for real totally shaped my taste in music.
No 808 there - all sampled breakbeats. To really appreciate this genre you needed to be in UK in the 1990s and be partial to doing a ridiculous amount of drugs! 😎
He locked derrick may the creator of detroit techno in the car and made him listen then sent him to space. The best sample of the amen break too.and what you mean!!! Play it on a pair of 15s amd it will blow you away. Unless u cant hear the low frequencies ?
you should do thumbs up or thumbs down in every video, it counts in the search engine to put the video in Top position, at least you can help in that man

I've never heard this short version. I always listened to the 21 min long version (Inner city life, presssure, jah).
Ooooof I love timeless it’s so good
The Timeless album is a mastpiece man.
Rip the voice of jungle
You should react to the whole 21minutes of Timeless. The bass drop on it is really worth the wait.
I used to scare friends with that bass drop! Booooooom. The car doors would wobble and the mirrors went fuzzy😁
blast from the past! im flashing back to 96, goin to underground parties in South Chicago. Good stuff!
Sound of Wolverhampton...
