Does liquid calcium really raise pH?

Rob's starting pH on this clover plot was 5.2
7 months later and 4 gallons of Advanced-Cal, soil pH increased to 5.8

Depends what the calcium is. If calcium carbonate then yes. If calcium sulphate then No. Its the carbonate that increases pH not calcium.
