I've watched The Song Remains the Same film more times than I can even count. I am amazed at how close to the original this is. Well done by all 4 members. Mr Jimmy, I'm sorry to hear that you left Led Zepagain. No doubt you will find continued success in your next endeavor...
When we were teenagers we would watch The SOng Remains the Same on acid on a huge projections screen in my basement. It took on a whole new meaning when you watched Page climb that mountain while I was tripping hard on some blue star blotters.
He basically left to start his own project called Mr. Jimmy, which turned out to be a huge mistake, since he left the band, Led Zepagain continues to soar with hugely successful tours in South America, Canada and Russia, while Jimmy performs in some of the worst dumps in Southern California playing with a rotating cast of clowns who can't even come close to what he had here. At the last show he did, the singer couldn't sing his way out of a paper bag, it was absolutely embarrassing! The bass/keyboard player played nothing accurately and just drug the authenticity of the whole project into the toilet! Jimmy had the second coming of Led Zeppelin right here and he pissed it away because of his own ego. At least he was able to hook up with Jason Bonham to play in his studio style greatest hits project, which Jimmy absolutely hates, but at least he's making some money again!
He definitely does the 2 weeks up on blow, half bottle of Jack, a couple Quaalude, (just to take the edge off), J.P. 1973, swagger/stumble extremely well. I bet he even does the Crowley bit..
Jimmy Page will tell you that Jimmy Sakurai is his clone this guy is awesome how in god's name does he remember the whole "song remains the same" concert Love ya Mr. Sakurai...
I bet Page got so good from all the studio sessions he did with other bands in the '60s before Zep, be interesting to see a more in depth video that looks at those and how those fill ins sounded for those songs

Two things; This drummer, I think his name is Jim Kersey, is a much better Led Zeppelin/John Bonham tribute drummer than Jason Bonham could ever be, however, Jason has the name recognition. The only thing missing from this stellar performance, is the concert ball in the audience.
